I think you should have made the NCAAs but I think you guys were never going to get the benefit of the doubt from the Indy crew.

What is the conventional wisdom for turning down the NIT?
Is Louisville going to be banned from the tournament next year? What are the chances of that?

AD, Coach and players didn't want to do it.

And it's not just Louisville who didn't want to continue to play unless it was for the Big One. Smaller field due to COVID, no home games in early rounds, and no trip to Madison Square Garden. Quarantined in Dallas? For what?

However, NCSt thought differently. If you have a young team it might be beneficial.

That is a horrible gut punch to die hard fans. As much as we like beating each other (and you guys have had more success) it makes me uneasy thinking about 2 years in a row of my team being out of the tournament. You are a top program, and will return even more hungry I bet.
