Thanks Neptunian! I agree next year will be interesting. Wish Midtgaard could stay though. It is nice having a huge 7 footer clogging the middle. He will be missed.

Congrats to GCU. You guys were the better team this year.

I, among other Aggie fans, will always have this season denoted with an asterixis because of all the extra hoops NMSU had to jump through this season. If somehow that would have happened I still think it would have been a 2 point game.

I am salty as hell but not surprised. Weird year weird season, get the WAC a ******* win. Be warned what happened to CSUB after they beat us. Next year gonna be good. If we get a GCU NMSU final then that will be even better than this year with the additional teams.

Way to go, GCU. You've shown us Tarleton fans what we'll need to succeed in this league, and beyond: SIZE. I honestly think you have the right mix of speed and size to go make some noise for the WAC. Good luck!

Drew did a good job plugging the holes Majerle had in his roster last season. And, Jans fail to find replacements for Aurrecoechea, Queen, and Brown for this roster. McCants should have never been used as our center. He is a natural stretch four. We will see what Drew recruits in the offseason and what Jans does to retool the Aggie roster. NMSU has a lot of talent but they had too many guards and not enough true big men. Nevertheless, Good job GCU. You have a well balanced roster; size and skill.

With all of the bid thieves, this might help GCU get a decent seed. Let's see what a new WAC team does in the dance.

I've seen 14 and 15 as GCU's seed but its all unofficial for the next 90 or so minutes.

If I had to pick a 2-seed, I’d probably pick Iowa. They seem most likely to lay an egg.

I feel like GCU just got hosed....that’s a tough matchup. I really like Midtgaard and feel like he was a big missing link to let Lever play his Euro-style game. That said, Garza is going to be a tough matchup for him, and I kinda shutter to think of Lever guarding him.

Where I think GCU can hang is at the guard spots. If they shoot the way they can, they have a punchers chance.

I would agree that GCU got a bad seeding. I think that Iowa has the much better 7 footer. I have watched both GCU and ACU this year and I think either team could win head to head on any given night. I was equally surprised that ACU got seeded as a 13. My guess however would be that despite the WAC as a higher ranked conference, the number of conference games played had some influence.

What happens to the brackets if a school is forced to withdraw from the tournament?

ACU is a#14 seed. We were hoping for. #13 but it didn’t happen. The NCAA seeding rank had ACU at #55 and GCU at 59.
