Brannen is now 9-9 in the non-conference at UC.

8-2 vs Mid-Majors
1-7 vs Power + Big East
0-2 vs Xavier
0-4 vs Ohio Schools

These results are not acceptable. Going forward UC has to able with power conference schools or this program is going no where. You also have to better against and other regional teams.

These numbers have to improve or you always be in bad spot in conference play. It’s also scary to think how far this program has sunk the last two years. Next year UC has to split its major conference opportunities and beat all the mid-majors on the schedule to have any chance at an NCAA bid. In my view Brannen future at UC is going to depend on turning these numbers around more than anything else because you can’t count on this league to provide enough opportunities to make the field.
Being #140 in the NET in year #2 is sorta unacceptable. I’m not as concerned about how we do against groups of teams.

1-13 against anyone that matters. Does anyone else see a problem here?

I'm not even going to address a 38 embarrassment against a rival who we should be competing on at least even terms with.

Not exactly but it’s ugly. 3-11 against Memphis, Houston, and the power conferences. Those are the teams with the high end talent. I believe Brannen is 4-1 vs Wichita and SMU though. I see a pattern where Brannen isn’t doing well against the most talented teams but ok a giant every one else. Talent and coaching need to improve.

I believe you’re counting the osu loss twice and 2 Xavier losses 6 times.

It’s bad enough on its own lol

Yeah, OK. I misinterpreted the numbers.

The point remains.

Every time we lose to X is feels like 6 losses.
Well, it ain’t all sunshine and unicorns on Victory Parkway.

“X is 23-26 in regular season Big East games under Coach Steele. Lost 11 Conference games at the Cintas. 1-3 at Madison Square Garden. 18-0 in buy-in games, 33-37 vs. the rest of the schedule”.

A guy who has beaten us 2 years in a row is going to be singing for his supper this week to keep his job after that disaster last night to complete the spitting of the bit down the stretch this season. I’m hearing they may have as many as 4-5 guys hit the portal, too.
He'll get another year, but X is finding out like a lot of other schools that conference changes do not necessarily bring wins like they want. Cue the Syracuse, Pitt and Uconn fans.
