Had to do a double-take on this one. The KSU-Tennessee Tech series is being moved FROM Tennessee TO Kent because of weather. In February no less. What the...?!

I’m reading that many think that many are seeing Luke Albright as a first round pick in the next MLB draft. Has anyone seen him pitch? He had a really good start against Va. Tech last week (1 hit in 5 IPs) but took the loss.

I wonder how often a February game is played in Kent. Normally first series is around St Patty's Day I think
Games in Kent this weekend! LETS GO!!!!! Oh wait, we have a rudderless department that cant respond to Diacon and ask for minimum seating. Fans could stand/sit along foul lines, etc. We could accomodate some fans at an outdoor event.

Minus getting out the football schedule that has already been established I wonder if anyone besides athletes/coaches and trainers are working in that department?
Looks like a sweep against Tennessee Tech
Flashes series against WVU cancelled. Now headed to #3 Mississippi State

Need to double-check the weather forecast for Starkville to see if they need to move the series to Kent. 03-wink
Golden Flashes even the series with #3 Mississippi State by winning 9-5. Rubber match is tomorrow at 1pm (EST).

Good game by the flashes with them giving up a few runs in the 9th to make it look closer than it was. Announcers for the game were a bit rough to listen to.
I think I'm seeing why Albright is projected as a first round pick. Shut down the #3 team in the country.
Love the move of having Kent's Friday starter pitch on Saturday. Go Flashes!
Took 2 out of three vs Seton Hall this weekend.
The banana uniforms continue to be a conundrum we can't solve.
Pretty good start to the season. I have noticed that the following guys haven't played an inning yet this season, but would have thought that they would see a lot of action, so maybe they are injured or have dealt with COVID-19? Those players are LHP Ryan Kircher and INF Alex Ronnebaum. KSU Baseball is 6-5 thus far with the NIU coming to Schoonover Stadium this weekend for a 4 game series. No MAC Tournament this season for baseball, so all MAC series will go back to what they did a few years ago, which is 1 game Friday, 2 games Saturday, & 1 game Sunday.

CMU was picked to win the MAC with KSU was picked 2nd.
Will be interesting to see how many wins Kent ends up with the increased 40 game MAC schedule set to begin
That’s a great point. I’ve always thought it’s very hard to sweep a four game series on any level of baseball. You just rarely see them. Even if one team is decidedly better than the other, baseball is a flukey game and it’s still tremendously difficult to win four games in four days against one opponent - much less four games in three days. It’s also incredibly hard for college teams to win both games of a doubleheader. Kids’ attention spans start to drift and more often than not, the twin bill is a split.
Well maybe there’s our answer. Lost 6-3 at home today to a 1-10 Northern Illinois team.

Of course the result was well hidden because - in what can only be described as the most Nielsen-era/Kent State thing EVER - there was no live audio, no video and no blow-by-blow tweets.

That would be embarrassing in any case... but when you aren’t allowing fans to attend the games...

I watched this painful game on GFTV. More walks by pitchers and more whiffs by batters. Extremely frustrating. This Akron Beacon Journal article https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.beaconj...4726641001 sums up exactly what I witnessed today.
I tried watching the live video four different times and the link never worked for me.

Bummer. Let me state the obvious, you didn’t miss a thing. All it did was take a year off my life 03-banghead. At least today is in Albright I trust day. And if Romel can see the light, then it’ll be a brighter day indeed.
