Sauce will obviously be long gone and Des isn't a fit, but pretty much any of the other legit UC draft candidates this year could make sense for the Bengals. I hope they snag at least one if the value is a match.

I disagree. The Bengals have two great outside receivers. I'd much rather see Pierce end up in a good team who's lost receivers like GB or KC.
ESPN's Final Pre-Draft Prospect Rankings just dropped:

#6: Sauce Garnder (1st CB)
#50: Desmond Ridder (4th QB)
#53: Bryan Cook (7th S)
#63: Alec Pierce (11th WR)
#89: Coby Bryant (11th CB)
#132: Myjai Sanders (20th EDGE)
#150: Jerome Ford (13th RB)
#199: Darrian Beavers (27th EDGE)

As a reminder, there are 262 picks, so they believe we will have 8 drafted (2 better than our previous record), with 4 graded out as Top 3 Round guys).

The Bengals are not in need at WR so I think AP going elsewhere is likely and better for AP.

He seems like a Packer or Patriot, and has felt that way for the last two years for me.

Same with Beavers RE: Patriots or Steelers.
Don't be surprised if Curtis Brooks gets drafted too. He was awesome this year and I could very easily see someone taking a shot with him.

If someone gets Beavers and Ford that low they are going to be very happy.

Has been getting a ton of late round buzz and direct comps to Geno Atkins on both size/strength/agility and playstyle.

The Bengals probably won't be able to pay Chase, Tee, and Boyd the money they'll demand. Christian Kirk isn't even close to any of those guys and he got paaaid. Plus, we don't really have a clear cut #4, Pierce can probably find playing time in the slot as well as outside. We also just let Uzomah walk. So plenty of room for more weapons. Burrow is gonna have a ton of throws next year.
It's nice to see Bryan Cook getting the positive attention that he deserves. He was a phenominal player that made the most of his time as a starter. That INT that he had against IU was such a great play. It's hard to believe that he may go higher in the draft than Forrest & Wiggins.

I agree. Forrest & Wiggins were beast. I do think Cook is a better overall tackler which for me is the number 1 thing for defenses.
High praise from ESPN senior writer Jeff Legwold for Sauce in his top 100:

2. Sauce (" Gardner came within an evaluation eyelash of being No. 1.")
30. Des Ridder
57. Bryan Cook
83. Coby Bryant
Honorable Mention: Myjai Sanders

As with everything in the media, they're over saturating us with draft analysis.

Both on TV and radio I've heard Ridder going from a possible top ten pick to mid second round. He went from having a strong arm to walking the bases loaded because of his inaccuracy. And he hasn't played a game in all that time.

Please, just get it over with.

Interesting analysis. As a Des doubter as a quality NFL starter I wonder if his catchable ball rates being at or above this class has a lot to do with him playing on a team that's dramatically more talented than everyone on his schedule except ND and Bama. If you've got more room to throw and your receiver is more open it stands to reason you should be near the top of the pack. Or it's also just that he's getting compared against a weak class of QBs.

I'd love to be wrong about him though.

Honestly this is a piece that is pretty much dead on what I saw this season from Des. Really damn accurate on intermediate to down field passes. Misses a bit too often on the short stuff.
Random but it's so cool that nearly every one of our draft picks is a guy who could've gone last year and gotten late interest, udfa interest but is instead going to be an early or mid rounder. Taking a multimillion dollar gamble on yourself has to be hard as hell at 21 years old but a lot of our guys are about to reap the benefits. So happy for them.

Bingo.

Evaluations have been all over the board.

Ultimately, one day Des will either be a quality starter, or he will be a career backup. Des's actual ability will decide his fate, not a draft analyst or a bunch of fans on message board. Good luck to him, and all the UC players. It's good pub for the school. That's all I really care about.
Chad Brendel (Gametime on here) knocks it out of the park with this interview. Opening the YouTube link / subscribing to his channel will only increase $$$ and high quality interviews like this. 04-cheers 04-cheers 04-cheers

Thanks for the info about Chad’s interview.
Saw this interview with Sauce and Rich Eisen.... Sauce comes across as a guy every team should want.
