Elon and Delaware also had their games cancelled due to their opponent's covid issues, maybe we get one of them on the schedule? Or maybe we don't risk having a game before the CAA tournament to minimize any Covid risk.

Either way, what a year this has been. It will be nice when we can put all of this behind us - in a year's time, hopefully this is all nothing more than some bad memories.
The article on the Tribe site says Hofstra has Covid issues - their opponent was Elon (who we are playing right now). However, there should be no reason why Delaware couldn’t make it to W’burg to make up the lost game.
Honestly, let's play whoever we can get. This whole season is made up anyway.
I would not be surprised to see the tournament cancelled or one/many teams opt out. The expectation that anything is normal is crazy.

The Tribe and Elon are the only CAA teams that played this weekend. The tournament doesn't make sense at this point.

I would have proposed Northeaster and JMU play one game to decide the CAA champion, but now maybe that isn't needed.

The Big South shouldn't hold a tournament. Winthrop is 17-1 and the next closest teams have 5 and 6 losses each.

Keep your top team healthy, send them to the Big Dance and cash the check.
So the Tribe's regular season will end tonight at Elon. If W&M wins, it will clinch the No. 6 seed and a first-round bye in the tournament. With a loss, W&M would need JMU to beat Drexel Friday to get No. 6. Otherwise, it's No. 7 and a first-round game. -DJ

Yep, Hofstra has issues, not Elon. I edited my post, thanks for the catch

I figure tonight's game is the last one until next season. I'd like to see us go out on a more positive note than Saturday's game.
If it wasn't for the CBS tourney dollars this season would have already ended.

It's really not a true season at all.
I was glad to get to follow some basketball. I am grateful to the team and the coaches for their efforts in what has been a difficult, unusual season.

I long for increases in the vaccine production so that people can begin more normal activities and more importantly to protect those at risk. I am grateful for the work that so many have done to try and help people. But, I am very eager to see the pace of administration increase.

I really look forward to going to a game and being able to high five during a game and tailgate with other Tribe and other team fans. I know it totally pales when compared to life that some have dealt with, but many of us miss the community. Most of all, I wish the students could get something closer to a normal college year. You only get 4 of those(for most people) and the last 3 semesters have been radically different. Many of those students though have managed very well under those radically different days. Without a doubt better than I would have at their ages.

Hoping the Tribe bounces back with a great effort in case it is the last game for the 2020-2021 season.

I don't think there's been a single post on this board I've ever agreed with more.
