Heartbreaking. The pitcher before Holiday lost it for us, but the bats never did show up in the entire post season. Great season, but this team was capable of much more. If we could have made it past UVA, I think we had a great chance at greatness. Such a shame.
Got shut down by the back half of their roster, capped off by a walkoff HR by the guy who started the game on the mound….
Didn’t bring the bats. It was only a matter of time. Oh well.

Its the ODU way... always this close (hold thumb and forefinger closely together) to awesome, but never quite there. It was a great season though. One of the best. Which is why I was hoping for even more.

I'm gonna guess nobody on this board knows how hard it is to get where they were today. Let me speak from REAL experience. It is really really freaking tough! Tip of the cap to the team and Finny. Absolutely outstanding year!

Well the important thing is you get to feel good about yourself. Oh well, maybe one day ODU will have a team that will deserve your precious support. But then they'll lose and you'll go back to patting yourself on the back about how you knew they didn't deserve you in the first place.

Well that is the stupidest post ever.
Another play that will get overlooked is when they sent Gagliardi home on the Tommy Bell single in the eighth inning. He was out by a 10 feet. I know there was 2 outs but, with his speed, he has no chance to score unless the throw is wildly off the mark. Take a chance with the next batter?

Definitely. We beat a very scrappy Jacksonville team and beat an SEC team in their stadium in front of 7000+ fans. That's special. They made history.

It is such a bummer how the odds were completely stacked against ODU as a number 1 seed, but that’s baseball. Magical season, see ya in the fall.
Heartbroken for these guys. They were a couple wild pitches and bounces away from winning that one and going to Supers. But that’s baseball.
I’m thankful I got to enjoy the ride with this team and all the memories I have watching them play. It stinks to be so close to making supers and failing but they did a lot of things no other team in ODU history has done.

Maybe but if he gets the hold sign and ends the inning on third, we're going to wonder what would have happened if he had gotten the green light. Gotta play the percentages and read how the game's going, and it sounds like it was the right (if not guaranteed) call.

Oh I do support, i just expect to lose rather then win. It is rare that ODU is clutch and wins when it matters.
