"D1 Baseball predicts that the 3 C-USA teams that put in bids to host (CLT, LT, USM) will make the list of 20 finalists that will be announced on Monday. Then trim 1 or 2 teams out depending on who plays well down the stretch. I think there were 40+ teams that put in bids to host."
If that is accurate then ODU did not submit a bid to host.
Yeah no one seems to reliably know the answer to that. Hopefully we did and that info is not out in the public yet and might be why we are not seeing it mentioned.

With putting in bids to NCAA, if you don't meet all of the minimum requirements, they don't even get the opportunity to submit. Once all of the boxes are checked, I guarantee ODU will be putting in bids for baseball.
This is similar to ODU with MBB/WBB in hosting 1st/2nd rounds & beyond. Chartway arena's seating capacity does not meet the minimum requirement to host any round of the MBB tourney. It does meet all of the requirements to host the 1st/2nd & S16/E8 rounds for WBB (which we've hosted several). ODU would love to "throw their hat in" to host MBB, but they aren't permitted to even submit.
The good news is what you need to have to be considered it out there and is done in checklist format (first two links):

If ODU is moving towards getting everything up to snuff to host, they have the manual to do it and it just takes time and money.

LOL i was nervous too when they homered in the B8 and when Noah showed up on the mound in B9 i was "We better not screw it up". Had we not added those insurance runs that would've been a disaster but we got the dub. Hopefully we keep the bats going today.
