Haven't seen much from Twitter on the game. One personnel note about UCF:

Go Bearcats!...

That dude destroyed us last time.

They need to attack him on the offensive end and make him work. Nothing will tweek an ankle like trying to run after someone.

I expect today's game to be a challenge.

He looked like an All- American their first 4 games, but really came back to work after. He went for 32 against FSU shooting 8-9 from 2, 2-4 from 3 and 10-10 from the line. Then he lit us up going 5-7 from three.

His offensive efficiency numbers are still pretty stellar, but not obscene like the were those first 4 games.

He's been starting Saunders, though MAW has been playing,

Great set to get Vogt the ball there.

Just have to contest against Mahan.

Defense on Mahan needs to be way better

Yep. Just jumped into the game thread, but I'm assuming you're talking about when Vogt set the screen on DDJ, DDJ skip passed it to Davenport, and Vogt flashed to the block and sealed his man for the bucket and the foul. I think both the players and the staff are starting to figure out how to get Vogt the ball where he can do some damage.

Another thought -- while Saunders has struggled this year, I'm glad Brannen has continued putting him on the floor with DDJ. It allows DDJ to conserve energy, andn also gives our future point guard the chance to run the offense with the safety net of sharing the load with a veteran.

Did they call over and back there? I thought UCF tipped it

I haven't looked at UCF's roster closely enough to know the listed heights of the guys in their rotation, but they look loooooong. The lineup we are going against right now has a lot more length than our guys.

KW has come to play. Bad miss on an early offensive bunny, and a bad 3 pointer. Won't get into the defense. Time to wake up.

Good to see both Eason and Williams crashing the boards there.

This group still plays too fast.

Need to get those Huggins blocking pads out for Eason.

Yeah, that was a terrible call.

Playing well so far.

Eason has great feel and instincts in the paint. Reminds me of a quarterback who can sense the pocket collapsing and moves around to find space. Once he gets more aggressive and confident with his finishing, he's going to be a beast near the rim.
