No Walters in the starting lineup once again.
What in holy heck is wrong with him? TSG?
Out today:
Tyreek Scott-Grayson
Shaquille Walters

ALSO out today:
Coach Coen
Coach McDonald
Coach Adako

Coach Joel Smith is coaching the team. I mean this is outrageously laughable.
Nothing really to say about this one. Guessing we have no updates on Shaq or Tyreek?
I'm guessing COVID? Probably out a week depending on when they tested if that's the case.
Yay we got a win! Snap an unbelievable 12-game skid.

1-11 in CAA play…

Maybe, just maybe, we’ll be respectable from this point forward.
Congrats on the win. Couldn’t have come at a better time. For us (UNCW), because I honestly don’t care about the rest of your season… unless you get a couple more upset wins.

Lol

Goes to show that while some teams have been establishing themselves as upper tier, clearly any team can lose to any team in the conference this year. Northeastern was due, and you guys hung on to beat a very good Towson squad.

Oh hey, we won! It's been tough to follow this season since I'm not subscribing to Flo and then of course the season being a complete mess. I have naïve hopes that maybe we can make some noise in the Tourney if things come together a bit more.
Nice win Huskies!
Thanks for the well wishes everyone. Glad to help UNCW as they are a nice little story and it would be quite an accomplishment to finish first and play in the NIT after having such low preseason expectations.

As far as the game, I guess we were due to win one but it took a lot of things working out. We are locked into the 8-9 game but hopefully we can grab a couple more for the kids during the last homestead. By the way, the last 6 seconds killed me with the inability to inbound the ball. Nik almost took out the scorers table like at W&M but all ended well this time.

It wasn't pretty, but NU came away with a 67-59 win at Matthews. NU is now 2-2 in the CAA, after starting 0-2.

Sakota 18 (pts) and Doherty (16 pts) led the way. They also won the rebounding battle 28-21.

NU has some days off until they hit the road Thursday at NC A&T.
About as good a weekend as we could have hoped for. Two wins against teams picked ahead of us and two games where we played strong down the stretch.
Very much so. Ball movement, rebounding and poise was good both days. When was our last perfect Thursday/Saturday? Feels like a while but nice. Next step is to start winning some league road games.

Yes, and can maintain the same level of effort and determination when playing a couple of teams that we'll be expected to beat.

It feels like it has been a while... but actually we did it last year beating Monmouth and W&M last February.
I'll be quick...

We're losing at Towson tonight.
