I respect their decision to not play the anthem; however, they need to accept the consequences if they receive any blowback from this from fans, sponsors, business partners, potential free agents, etc.

I could care less either way, but a lot of people do. If he starts crying about the repercussions of this decision, that is too bad. If he accepts any fall out - then good for him.
Cuban seems like he understands what the possibilities are so I doubt there will be much complaining - unless the NBA steps in and tries to force this back on him.
I'm guessing right now they are some type of capacity limit, so I'm unsure it will kill their ticket sales anymore than covid.

I think the only time I would notice it would be at a baseball game to be honest. I'm usually still tailgating when they do it at football games.

To be fair, that’s how I would have handled it had I been running a franchise in the NFL, The owners were in a box. The players wanted to kneel during the national anthem and that action would anger many of the owners customers who would find it offensive and disrespectful. Thus, I would have met personally with my players to find an alternate way for them to protest. If that failed to yield an agreement, I would have simply not played the national anthem at my games. I’d rather not play it than have it disrespected.
