A quick look at roster shows the majority of the infield is made up of FRESHMAN. Going to have a young team but many got part of the year in last year.

High risk, low return is my guess. Maybe if we had one of those 30 mil participation checks things would be different.

Do we have any rich former players ? Dan Uggla maybe? Need to reach out to them like we did with Penny and DeAngelo for funding.

We tried Dave Anderson with limited success, Ugga's ❤️ is east of here. Maybe Mark Little may be interested. But will be hard to get one of Rock's players if he's forced out

I’ve met Dan numerous times. Always been a cool. He use to play the Highland Hundred Golf Tournament years ago. Maybe he was a prick to you but always been nice to me

There's a dotted line between Stubby Clapp and the UofM (bro-in-law was a former Tigers pitcher), and a solid line between Stubby and the city. He's been coaching in the minors/majors for years. His family lives in West TN, and he has an instructional business in the area. Last I heard he was 1st base coach for St. Louis. He might like being around the family more...

I think Clapp is still a 1st base coach.

Pick the top 10 college programs and look at the second-in-command. Offer one of those guys the keys.

If they all say no, then try it again next year.

They messed up by not hiring Phil Clark 25 years ago. He’s too old now.

Not disparaging Phil Clark. If he was such an obvious candidate to succeed why did he not take another Div1 baseball job and build a program there? ( like Hugh Freeze did in football 3x)
