UC was very meh until Brian Kelly came along. In that period OSU has been elite under Tressel/Meyer/Day, unlike before then where they had periods of far more inconsistency. Had UC been as food as the past two decades in the generations before they'd be in a P5 conference now and maybe knock off OSU at least once.

Actually UC did beat OSU in 1896, but the Bearcats are 1-12 all-time against the Buckeyes. There was a gap in the series from 1931-1999. About half of the meetings were prior to 1931.

You are correct that UC football has not been the program it has been until recent. I would push the date back a few years to the early 2000s when UC started investing more investing more into football and finally building a fan base. This led to UC getting the Big East invite, replacing Rick Minter with Mark Dantonio, etc. BK just kicked it up a notch.

As to the BGSU fan, yes UC is 0-3 against the Falcons. All those games were played in the early 90s when UC was god-awful and BGSU was very good. Good for you. If you think UC is sweating BGSU today by any measure athletically or academically you are delusional.

Don’t think that making an accurate statement about UC’s o fer record against BG can be construed as making anyone sweat athletically or academically...

Oh, it's the internet, reading extra premises into straightforward statements to construe them as much weaker arguments is a well-developed art form.
