Do they play all of their volleyball matches in their indoor track facility?
Change in the starting lineup this game: Grippo, McCardell, LaBue, Lennon, Kostelecky, Graham, Fowler. McCardell is the libero this game.

Rice leads 11-7 in the 1st.
Video feeds keeps bouncing between multiple cameras making it hard to watch. Audio is also ahead of the feed.
I agree. Terrible broadcast.

Think they use different floors vs basketball. So playing in this facilitiy for now.
UH ties it up, 23-23. Rice calls timeout.
Rice led by as many as 5 but lost it at the end, 23-25.

UH’s 1st lead was 24-23.
Rice keeps losing all the long rallies. Down 10-14 in the 2nd.
Down 21-23 in 2nd. And lose 21-25. Looks like it's going to have to be another 5 setter.
Wasn't expected to get swept by a team this year except by maybe Texas or Baylor. Rice loses the 3rd, 25-27.
Rough start to the year for the non revenue sports. Tennis had some bad losses last week too. At least basketball has been a pleasant surprise.

Men’s tennis lost to a division 3 program last week.
Volleyball lost a bunch of really good players last year - the best libero in school history and another all-time top-10 player in Grace Morgan. Plus some other veterans who were long-time key contributors. And now, our 2nd best player isn't playing.

As long as she comes back, we can still compete for the CUSA west title. Give the young players some time to gel.
Really need to clean up the service game. Not going to win many matches when you commit 3 service errors each set (9 service errors vs. 2 aces). Hard to build momentum doing that. Nicole had an excellent match, as did Ellie, but we really miss the offensive threat of Anota in the middle. It makes our offense too predictable.

Trinity was a D1 power in the 1970s, with one NCAA championship and several other runner-up finishes.

Last season, before things were shut down, Trinity was ranked 12th nationally in Division III.

Back when we were a national top-5/top-10 men's tennis program (how long ago was that?), Trinity typically gave us a hard battle.
Neither Sumit nor Mo played against Trinity. Sumit has been our No. 1 for three years and Mo has played No. 2 or No. 3..that could have an effect...

When alumni defend a loss to a division 3 team that doesn’t have a single player that would be on Rice’s recruiting radar and that is not among the best even in division 3 (they routinely get crushed by the top division 3 programs) ..there is a huge problem! ?. Are expectations that low for Rice?
