Took long enough.
Answer is very simple.

Work out a joint management arrangement with either the Big 10 or the Big 12.
Scott was terrible. I hope his successor can help right the ship and return the conference to prominence. Unfortunately, I think the only way to do it is a partial merger with the Big 12.
Not surprised but....Wow.

Conferences don't can their commissioner.
Wow. End of an era. Are there any PAC Presidents moving on too? Wonder what the catalyst was?

Joint TV deal is the way to go.

Share management. Share a TV deal.

Also sounds like his contract was up as of June 30.
They caved to Twitter/Reddit/Facebook/Instagram. Executives respect Larry.

June 30, 2022.

Even in this, Scott will probably get a golden parachute.
I’m going to LOL so hard if after this OU and OSU become members and B1G-PAC is back in business.
Beat me to it

Everything is on the table. I expect a much improved Pac-12 going forward, one that puts football first, one that maximizes it's media exposure and contracts, one that rights the recruiting ship.

There are so many more resources in the West than in the B12, no excuse for the P12 to be behind them.

Long overdue, hopefully the right man is found for the job, who gets the priorities straight.

(I hope it also sends Bill Walton into retirement. P12 Basketball players need an analyst who knows their game, knows their names for Christ's sake even, and who promotes them instead of some LSD trip the analyist took in 1968)
Bill Walton would make a really good Commissioner.

Of the Hippy Alzheimer's League. Were nobody remembers anything that happened after about 1975.

(I still cannot forgive him for his contacts and support of the weather underground, and even the SLA, referring even years later to Patty Hearts as Tanya, a sweet girl ... love and peace and bombs I guess)
The PAC is in a bad way right now, it has no flagship teams competing for national titles and its money is stagnant.

Must rid itself of the PACN albatross.

If I'm the Pac-12, I try to sell 2 games a week to CBS for Football and give them a TV deal for basketball like CBS did with the Big Ten. Have the two games go 3pm EST/Noon PST and 8pm EST/5pm PST. I would also try to get ViacomCBS to purchase 49% of the Pac-12 Networks so they can get better distribution. Sell the Tier 2 rights to ESPN.
