Balanced, efficient, veteran team. NT has taken 7 fewer FG attempts with 45 more makes; 3 fewer 3s with 18 more makes; 9 more FT attempts with +10 makes; all with +67 assists and -18 TOs. NT doesn’t rely on volume of 3s (20 attempts/g) but McBride, Reese and Jones shoot more 3s than 2s. Five NT players are left-handed (McBride, Hamlet, Bell, Jones and Simmons). Although NT has only 1 road victory (UTSA) their 4 OOC road losses are to teams that are 38-16. In the UTSA loss, Jhivvan Jackson went 9-10 FG in the second half and combined with Wallace for 45 total pts.
I see this as another split. Lose the first, win the second.
Split is possible but UNT should be one of the better teams on paper so wouldn’t be surprised if we get swept. On the other hand it doesn’t seem to be much difference in actuality.

Trivia time.

Anyone heard of “The Pioneer Woman” Ree Drummond? Her son signed with UNT as a 2021 QB recruit at UNT.
Both Men and Women's programs are on pause due to positive tests

https://odusports.com/news/2021/1/21/men...ities.aspx

The Old Dominion men's and women's basketball teams have paused all team-related activities due to positive COVID-19 results among Tier 1 personnel. Tier 1 personnel includes student-athletes, coaches, managers and support staff. The results were detected during regular coronavirus testing, which is conducted three times a week in accordance with Conference USA and NCAA guidelines.

Due to the pause, the Monarchs' games against North Texas on Jan. 22 and 23 have been postponed. The two institutions will work with C-USA to identify rescheduling options.

Crap. They've been so careful too. That sucks. Hope nobody gets sick though.
Happening a lot. Hopefully we can get it cleaned up and every stays healthy.

Old Dominion coach Jeff Jones said the positive COVID test in his program belonged to a player. The team won’t practice or play as a group until at least Jan. 30 as it quarantines. #ODU
Football is thick with it right now. Everything is cancelled for the time being from what I heard.
