Hmmmm...I wonder if the offers he got were not what he expected.
With so many players in the portal now it probably is becoming very competitive to find a good landing spot.

I'm seeing this more and more. I think it's more of the current staff re-recruiting kids that they really want, and for which the relationships are still positive - rather than a kid not getting an offer somewhere "bigger".

I'm surprised that nobody has mentioned, what I think (with no insider info), is the key factor. Two players ahead of him on the depth chart just left. Given how bad we were, I can't imagine that he has a better shot at immediate playing time anywhere else on a team in the top 6 conferences.
