Looks nice! Night games will be scenic with the downtown buildings in the background. No chairbacks? Or will they add those later?
Looks very nice

I went to some USA games this year in their new stadium and they had a mixture of bench, bench with backs and stadium chairs. IDK, but maybe we are doing something similar. I have been told the premium press box side midfield seats will be chairs.

That’s how our stadium is too. Student and general admission seating is just a bench. Season ticket holders are bench with a seat back. The premium seats have actual chairs.
This stadium looks fantastic. How many will it seat?

I love how you guys have "bowled" it in. Very nice.

Will the Iron Bowl return to Birmingham?

too much money involved.
Question: why in the heck are the light standards mounted at the FRONT of the upper deck side opposite the press box????

It’s going to be fine. There isn’t going to be a visitors side either. The press box is low. Etc. This is the first installment. There is room for expansion. This is a multi use stadium not owned by the school but the city. The Classic football between Ala St and Ala. A&M is a huge game for the city.

It's looking very good. This will be a great addition for Birmingham.
What's the deal with the Jacksonville State game being played in Montgomery? Is the stadium not going to be ready for Week 1?

Well damn... emphatic NO to this question. Anybody care to explain why? Alabama politics? Too much money involved for whom? Is there some back story?

This stadium seats ~47,000. Auburn's Jordan-Hare Stadium seats 87,000, and Alabama's Bryant-Denny Stadium seats 100,000

The back story is playing at Legion Field was truly an Alabama home game. Alabama played most of their big games in Birmingham because Legion Field was bigger than Bryant Denny. When Auburn hired Pat Dye, Bryant knew Dye would want to move the game to Auburn and the contract allowed for that to happen. So in 1989, Auburn play their first Iron Bowl game at home and beat then #2 Alabama 30-20.

Eventually Alabama expanded Bryant Denny to nearly 84,000 eclipsing Legion Field and in 2000 they moved all of their home games to Denny.
