Monday will be the official press conference for announcing Bowden and his staff. It will be hosted by Tim Brando and will include Terry Bowden, Rich Rodriguez, as well as Bobby Bowden and Tommy Bowden will be there. Should be a pretty cool event and will be streamed live if you would like to watch. I'll find out the time. Looking forward to meeting Bobby for sure. Some national media expected as well.
Should have a red carpet...

No, but if your gonna put the ball on a tee for me, I gotta hit it.
It’s pretty funny. I should have put a LOL after my comments. I meant it in jest as well. Still excited about the event. Pretty nice line up of somewhat famous sports figures.
I think stAtenation is on to something.

ULM press conference brought to you by Geritol.

More revenue streams just being opened up everyday. 04-cheers
God knows we can use the money! Geritol Stadium for all I care as long as we win.
The old age talk was pretty accurate until we hired a 27-year-old DC
Somebody had to drive the mini-van to the Sizzler for the early bird special. LOL!!!
In all honesty it is a very nice mix of age, experience, and youth.
The smell of Old Spice Musk will be flowing through Malone.
Honestly at only 64 I could see Bowden coaching 5 to 6 years if ULM is doing well. Saban is 69 and is still at the top of the game.
Would you want a coach more than 5 or 6 years at a G5 school? If they are good they get promoted to a bigger job in that time frame, if they are bad they will be fired.
Bowden is the Energizer Bunny. Has more energy than any coach I remember at ULM.

I would.

Larry Blakeney staying at Troy for 24 seasons was a big deal.

Even though he lost his luster the last few seasons of his career, you can't complain about having a coach that has 15 winning seasons, 7 playoff appearances, 5 bowl appearances, 8 conference titles, and multiple P5 upsets.

If any coach who was helping us win wanted to stay, of course I’d want him to stay. If he isn’t doing well then no, you move on.
If a coach can average 8 wins a season, with the occasional 10 win season and conference title, you keep that coach. Unless you are a P5 school then you fire that guy, give him $20mil to go away and hire the next guy that will give you the same results.
