Whats funny is that these were self reported violations that the University spent $100k to stumble upon
It’s time to disband the ncaa.
It’s on the schools at this point. As much as I hate what UNC did and how they got away with it, their method of forcing the NCAA to do their own work and contesting everything was model. No school should want to partner with the NCAA because of this stuff. The school did all of the work, provided the results, self-reported, and once again, the NCAA adds more to the situation.

They make it known all the time of their self importance. Impotent, feckless, non-contributing zeros.

I wish I could give you 40 rep points for that remark.

Why about half of D2 and D3 aren't NAIA is beyond me. Who'd want to spin their wheels dealing with pettiness instead of providing a good athletics and school experience for your students? All the money some tuition driven school of 1500 students spends on NCAA crap would probably be a nice spring break road trip for all Spring sports for example.

Instead it goes for full time paperwork keepers.

Why any school would self report to me is INSANE!!

The NCAA never would have known anything had UMASS kept what they found quiet.

No reason the NCAA needed to go nuclear on the flippin UMASS tennis team

She should have went to UNC and taken a bunch of BS humanities courses instead. Maybe she should have gone to a school that moves better merchandise and draws better eyeballs than UMass if she didn't want to feel the angry fist of Emmert bearing down on her.

The larger D2 schools want to get away from them. There are no competition, and the small schools do not have the funds to spend on the sports to compete against the D2 schools.
