Yep. They come to Memphis on Jan 28. They will probably schedule back to back games while they are here.

Tulsa?

Yougottabekiddingme, we should blow them out easily according to our players!

Right?!?

Tell that to top 10 Houston.

Same as us having UCF for 2 games here. They come here for one game and stay in town and play two. We travel to Dallas for one game and stay in town to play two.

Or UT-Martin or Arky State. Someone who just bus into Memphis. Or we could bus to them.

Will this be by party bus?

Same as us having UCF for 2 games here. They come here for one game and stay in town and play two. We travel to Dallas for one game and stay in town to play two.

Punishing us by playing two on the road makes no sense at all. The game was cancelled because of UCF, so they are playing two here. The SMU game was cancelled because of them, so if anything they will also play two here.

So when you say it's the same, the reality is exactly the opposite of what you are saying.

has nothing to do with punishing anyone. Has to do with lower travel cost and getting all the games in.

SOP is when a game is cancelled then the teams play two at the location where they play again.

UCF played us again here so we play two here. We next play SMU in Dallas so we play two there.

Shall I also tell that to Wichita State, who with a new coach and depleted roster, beat (7-4) Tulsa by 20 last night?

WSU's top 10 scorers played. You have to stop assuming that the posters here are as dumb as your buddies, and won't check the garbage you post. I knew before I even checked that you were lying, you were too lazy to check, or not bright enough to match their leading scorers 1 through 10 to last night's boxscore.

Actually, I'm the one that's lying. I knew it wouldn't be an either/or situation. I correctly guessed that it was all three.
Wichita State did lose 8 scholarship players in 2020... Perhaps that is what the poster was talking about.

Shhh. Don't tell them. Let them run with it.

I mean, they are really super duper awesome smart.

Not sure your issues with Haith, but he's proven to be a very good coach. Won at Miami, killed it at Mizzou of all places, and very competitive at Tulsa.

They've beaten us once, along with wins vs Houston and Cincy. They're sitting in a 3-way tie for 1st in the conference.

Spare us the "we should blow them out" narrative.

If you think Haith is a good coach, then you should talk to Miami, Mizzou, or Tulsa fans. None of them like him or think he's a good coach. But, maybe you know better than all of them?

He's in season #7 at Tulsa and has one NCAA tourney appearance and a 56% winning percentage at TU.

7 years at Miami and won 39% of his games.

3 years at Mizzou and took a 30 win team down the tubes in 3 years and the last season was vacated.

But yeah, Frank Haith is a great coach and I'm just posting "schtick".

By all accounts, Haith is not a very likeable person or coach. Not endearing to fans or boosters.
Check your facts. He had a winning record at Miami.
What's Mizzou done since he left? Absolutely nothing.
And they've outperformed preseason expectations every year at Tulsa.
We should win, but it's no gimme.

I'm sorry. You are correct about Miami. He won a whopping 56% of his games. The 39% was his conference winning percentage.

At Mizzou, he took over a loaded team and ran the program into the ground in 3 years, from which they have never recovered.

And yes, he has exceeded expectations at Tulsa, based on preseason predictions for the past couple of years. That said, he has one NCAA tourney appearance in 7 years, there. And, has won 60% of his games. 60%. That comes out to 18-12 over a 30 game season.

Miami .561
Missouri .731
Tulsa .609

Career .612

9 postseason appearances in 15 years. (2019-20 not counted since postseason cancelled)

yep someone failed to research before posting.

after our 40 points loss there last year, we cannot assume we should win there.
