To go from FBS to FCS to HS...
04-jawdrop

I saw Gulf Shores was having an announcement, never imagined it would have been this.

And at one time Hud was being mentioned for some higher level jobs, then fell on his face at Louisiana.

He took Louisiana to previously unseen heights. He certainly didn't fall on his face. He could have remained a P5 assistant but wanted to be a head coach and went to Peay.

Circumstances of his own doing there led to the face plant.

He was never getting a high level job no matter how many games he won. Once they do the background check he’s not getting the job.

Similar to what happened at UNA?
Call me crazy, but that’s a sweet gig for someone wanting to back away from the pressures of college football. Coach a little football, head to the beach, head to a nice seafood dinner. Wake up and do it all over again.
Hope he has saved some of that money so he could afford a house on the island.

Dude is a good coach as long as he can cheat.

Gulf Shores has all the money in the world to pay him whatever they desire.

Hey, I agree with you. Hud will be able to settle down in Gulf Shores and enjoy the good life that a small town on the upper Gulf Coast can offer.

It is a sweet gig but he did not want to back away. Resign or be fired and he resigned.
Hope there aren’t too many bridges or stop lights on his commute.

As long as there are no cheerleaders
I don’t have any proof of that but I know he hates a tough commute.

It's the football coaching version of Benjamin Button.
Mike DuBose had a quicker fall then Hud. He went from head coach at Alabama to a high school coach in 2 years. He is currently a DC for Opp High School in Alabama.

As long as there are no cheerleaders

It’s a much crazier story than a cheerleader.
