Is this a prediction thread? If so,

UTSA @ Rice - Split
Old Dominion @ FIU - Split
Western Kentucky @ Charlotte - WKU x 2
Middle Tennessee @ Florida Atlantic - Split
Marshall @ Louisiana Tech - Split
UTEP @ Southern Miss - UTEP x 2
UAB @ North Texas - postponed
I love our team, but this is one of our toughest road 2x trips in the conference slate for Marshall.

I can see us dropping both games to La Tech. Doesn't mean we can't compete throughout the year.
I also have a feeling road teams will have a greater chance at picking up the part 2 games, as they would have shaken off the road travel rust by then.
Charlotte starts the conference season by playing six games against the preseason #1, #3 and #4 teams in C-USA. It is going to be tough, and I don't like our chances against WKU to open play this week. We must find a way to win half of these six games to give us a chance to build our record in the second half of the conference season.
clt hopes the refs treat us fairly against wku....hahahahaha

I'd consider 0-1 wins bad, 2 acceptable, 3-4 good/great, 5-6 fantastic.
Our big guys will get used by WKU, not expecting either contest to be close.

If both teams played their best game I agree Western wins both. I think it would be closer than you expect. Western doesnt seem to put teams away.

If Western plays average and UNCC, plays above average I can see a split. Especially if your guards gets hot like they did in that second game at Western, last year. This Western team has not shown they can put teams away once they go up 10+
UAB vs. North Texas - postponed.

North Texas now traveling to Loyola- Chicago on Saturday.

I think Bassey is going to eat us alive. We just don't really have very good defenders in the post, and he's an exceptional player and athlete.
MT at FAU cancelled due to the Vid.
My gosh...cancellations, or postponements, already. Sheesh!

.
Guns is right. This WKU team can't seem to put anyone away. Led WVU by 10 in the second half, right there with Louisville until they fell apart and missed too many shots. Struggled with a 1 win Gardner-Webb at home, they did shoot ridiculously well though.
Bassey has been a force, so far, worst game was probably Rhode Island, 13 pts. 9 rbs. & 5 blks. only 29 mins. though. The thing about WKU this year is the depth. 6 guys have had 20+ point games so far. Looks like Young is the only 49er to have at least 20 so far. I expect close games based on the season so far and the fact that the Toppers seem to let up against any decent team.

Hah! I'm hoping we get the split.
Watching RICE home to UTSA on espn plus. Zero fans allowed in I suppose-- don't see any. Roadrunners up by two at the first break.

No fans allowed. Can’t see that changing soon, even though UH and the Rockets are allowing fans.
Rice tops UTSA 95-86 in game 1 of the weekend.
