With the help of message board members beginning in 2014, we—the students and professors of the Know Rivalry Project—began answering this question and others related to rivalry in college football. Please help us update and expand our results to ensure that the Blazers are included by taking 9 minutes to complete our newest survey:

Our previous results have been featured in numerous sports media outlets, as well as the Wall Street Journal and New York Times. You can view those results, links to media coverage, and learn more about us at our KnowRivalry.com website BUT we'd prefer you didn't until you completed the survey via the link above... we don't want to influence your opinions provided in the survey.
We use the Qualtrics online survey software for data collection. This academic research has been approved by two US universities' Institutional Review Boards (IRB) and it poses no risks to respondents. You'll find more information on the disclosure agreement that is required to start the survey. Thank you for helping us to include the Blazers by participating and please share this with any other fans that may also help.

They're not as much a 'rival' as they are an 'obstacle.' 03-lmfao
do it with uat ,,,,it is fun
I put LA Tech, USM, WKU, Troy, and Memphis. After it latched onto WKU and asked me more questions, I think I came to the conclusion that they aren't really a rival.
i have grown to dislike la tech the most.
Most of our rivals are in the AAC.
Oh darn, I forgot about Memphis. Well, since we arent really rivals anymore, I guess I did right by not mentioning them.
No matter the fact that we aren’t regularly scheduling each other anymore, I will always view Memphis as the #1 rival of ours. May just be me, but there are very few schools I dislike more than Memphis.
In regard to rivals, where does Memphis keep the "Battle for the Bones" Trophy? I sure would like to have another shot at winning it again.

To be a rivalry it has to go both ways. Memphis fans no longer give two ***** about UAB

Not sure if you looked through the website, but there’s a section for most lopsided rivalries. It’s pretty interesting.

We consider So Miss to be our main rival, but we’re hardly a blip on their radar.
Troy considers us as their main rival
La Tech seems to really hate us. I think they eat **** and like it.

Is that a rival?
It's funny to see who fans think are their rivals and who their perceived rival fan base actually see as their rivals.

USM: we see them as our rival but they apparently don't see us in that way. But they sure as heck hate to lose to us.

Troy: That's actually a pretty fun rivalry

Memphis:WAS a good rivalry. It's the ex that's moved on and you keep sitting their trying to convenience yourself they still opine for you. That gift you gave them years ago, it got thrown out in the trash years ago.
for me its La Tech, Troy State, and Mississippi Southern in that order.
