Supposedly a rumor started on rivals.

Man, those fans really don’t want Clark.

And you know what, they don’t deserve him or anybody else worth anything.

If this is true, then Auburn has likely offered Clark and he has come back to UAB and said he will stay if we raise him to $_____ amount.

**** Auburn. In their case, the enemy of our enemy is not our friend.

Would make sense as to why we're supposedly calling bid donors now to raise money. I hope we can pull it off.
What is Clark’s current buyout at UAB? I know it was $800-$900k prior to 2018 new contract.

I found it. https://www.al.com/sports/2018/08/post_920.html
$930k if he leaves before Jan1.

Actually can’t confirm what it changed to after the 2018 CUSA title.

Or, "How much money do we have to offer a new HC?" Would decide our target: ex-FBS, FBS, FCS, high school, etc.
Probst - just needs to happen before Christmas
Oh hell naw 03-lmfao

Propst to Auburn? Yes
The UAB football account tweeted a picture of Clark working in his office about an hour ago. Subliminal message?
I hope so. Been a roller coaster of 2 days
Perhaps just like Napier, Clark doesn’t like the conditions or lack of flexibility on who to choose as his staff.

We can only hope.
Maybe the UAB big boosters will be able to give Clark a raise to keep him. I know my little yearly donation adds to total but I can’t make much of a dent. I also “heard” that Boise is not going to the AAC mainly because AAC will not accept a football-only school.

I would love to hear that Clark is staying and we are moving to the AAC.

Maybe we can get the Auburn boosters who don’t want Clark at Auburn to pony up to keep him at UAB :)
Not only does AU owe Gus $21 mil before end of year, but they have to pay another $5 million to get rid of Steele.

And that’s why you don’t pay assistant coaches $2.5 million a year.

I’m not entirely sure if Steele is guaranteed all of that but that’s what it sounds like is the turn off as of now. Maybe the Clark balk rumor is real.

the day he becomes UAB's head coach is the day I throw out all my UAB gear and thats about half my casual attire
At this point, it would be easier to list who hasn’t turned the job down to those who have.

Not sure what to make of it. He’s working in his office on bowl prep, but he’s dressed up like he did an interview.
He did interview.
