I see a pick'em thread, but no real talk about the actual game in a few hours.

I have my rooting interest but I just want to say I'm proud of both teams, for staying safe and making it to Detroit to play this game. So many other teams have had to cancel games this season,,,including the Sun Belt title game this weekend.
So props to UB and Ball St. for getting to this game and making it happen. Should be a good one!
I don't have a rooting interest besides that I picked BSU to make up ground in the pickem pool. I'd really like for UB to win and get ranked for the MAC sake. Leopold is a good coach and on many schools radar for their coaching opening.

-13.5 seems about right. If Huntley is back for BSU we could have a real slobber knocker. Id assume we are on the higher side for points with some wacky mixed in. It'd be a bummer if UB blew the doors of Neu's Cardinals. I'm excited to watch this, compared to the PAC12 defacto title game with zero implications.
Boy on replay that ball didn’t cross. then UB took it out of his hands before the QB got pushed in. bad call i think. UB chip shot FG blocked. BSU getting some good first half play.

On the back shot his upper half was over and Plitt was yelling that he was over. Inconclusive. I'd go with call on field whatever it was. Happened to be TD.

But we got more Bulls points.
I mean how much more blatant can these holds be that Ball State keeps getting away with? There was a huge hold on that 3rd and long TD pass. Whole sideline yelling for it too.

Not to mention the TD on 4th and goal was short.

14 points gift-wrapped to Ball State.

Buffalo fans are always the ref police. Swiss cheese D.

D is terrible tonight for sure but that doesn't excuse the refs being the cause for 14 Ball State points.

They make sure to flag us on PI on a 3rd down stop when the receiver jumped wildly in the air and wasn't catching the ball anyway but then don't call an absolutely massive hold (#94 Eric Black was held off the edge as he was about to get the sack) a few plays later on the TD throw? Neat.

The inconclusive / call on the field stands rule is such a joke too. Looked clearly short on that 4th down "TD".

13.5 pt favorites. If you lose by 13, I'll give you the W 03-drunk
UB is running way too much. It's ineffective tonight meanwhile the passing game has been really good. Leipold loves the run so much that he refuses to go away from it even when the passing game is doing a lot better.

Edit: finally a good run
Man, Ball State really handled Buffalo.
All the trends that Buffalo was great at, went against them tonight. Congrats to Ball State.
The better team won tonight. Finally the Bulls played a good team and they couldn’t handle it.
I’m too lazy to look up how many MACCs have wound up being upsets.
I felt Ball State could keep it close and just hoped to have a chance at the end. Just hoped they would stack the box and make them throw. They did a great job against the run outside of that long run.

I’m not old old but had not seen a MAC championship for my Cards since going to school there.

I’m going to savor this.
Congratulations to Ball State.

Didn't watch the game, bummed Western is so close, but the West is just overall better IMO.

Outside of Babers' Bowling Green teams & a couple Miami steals, the West has dominated the East the past decade.

Gonna be same in 2021. There isn't a MAC West team I think can't beat anyone else in the conference. NIU is NIU, Eastern's always gonna be decent under Creighton, Central is always in it, Western is a perennial contender, Toledo out-recruits everyone, & Ball is reigning champ.

Congrats Ball St. Certainly everyone underestimated you guys. I know I did the past several seasons. Feels like a Worst To First story.
Buffalo may have had the easiest schedule in the MAC. They played In the East and got to play Akron, BG, then got the worst team from the West (NIU) as their crossover.
Another way to look at relative East v West strength is that the West got two easy wins vs BG and Akron, but went 1-3 vs. the rest of the East. Still comes out to 3-3.

Congrats to Ball St.!
Congrats to Ball State !!
Well done !! 04-bow
Congrats to Ball and everyone involved with the program. They've been competitive under Neu but found ways to lose in previous seasons, glad to see them break through.
Who knows maybe Ball State just kept Leipold in Buffalo. He was rumored for the Illinois job but they went in a different direction this morning.
