How does that work with Covid? This year would have been his 3rd season at Memphis had it not been for the canceled 2020 season? Can those 3rd year sophomores declare or do they have to wait until after next season?

Good question. In football, the COVID year counts towards the "3 years after HS" requirement - even when you opt out (eg Kenny G). MLB has strange rules though, so it could go either way.

MLB rules are pretty clear. If you go to a 4 year college you become draft eligible again when you’re 21 years old. Even if you’re only a sophomore

Snap back to reality

Well, on the plus side, our pitchers finally had more strike outs than walks…. too bad they gave up more HR’s (7) than they had strike outs (6).

reality strikes back 1-17 loss to UCF.
Rematch with ECU tomorrow and they were beyond embarrassed.
They will be focused on run ruling the Tigers and not just winning the game.

Yep… 12-0 in 7 innings…
We managed to walk 9 batters in just six innings pitched.

If Roc is getting one more year then let's just go ahead and eliminate the baseball program.

Why would they give Roc one more year.. unless his contract is to expensive to buy out??

If you are a coach & are desperately in need of upgrading the talent on the field, then this is where you should be camped out all summer long. I’m sure Roc will be there...
Again, it’s telling how few teams from our area go compared to other regions… Memphis should have a roster full of kids from GA & LA.

Well, the softball coach is holding camps at the school so it looks as if at least the softball coach will be retained. Will be willing to wager that Rock will also.
Believe WBB coach was changed only because she decided to retire.
