Anyone else getting delays in page loads? GTS seemed to clear it up a bit last week, then it started back intermittently. Now it’s pretty much constant.

How are we doing now? I spent a few hours yesterday tweaking things on the database.

Caveat: There's some intermittent carrier issues going on at the Atlanta Public Internet Exchange. If you can't load the site and also can't load Cyberwurx.com ... we're having a carrier issue. Given that it's affecting multiple datacenters I expect that to clear up pretty fast.

Looks like the problem is indeed the thread view update that occurs every 15 minutes. I think that's simply a matter of how big the thread table has gotten over nearly 2 decades of use now. For now updating thread views once a day is the solution. I'll see what I can do to change the MyBB code to make that work better.

Confirmed. I manually ran the thread view update and that's what's the slow down now. From 7:30 AM ET to 2:30 PM ET it accumulated 750,000+ thread view updates to do. Looks like this is a function of the thread table constantly getting bigger and traffic being high for football and basketball.
