Welcome back to ODU, Blaine!

This is a wonderful opportunity for Blaine, and a big win for ODU! It is awesome that ODU is giving someone who gave so much to this University a second chance!

maybe he can recruit the next Alex Laughton in his spare time
Hey!!! What unexpected and welcome news. Glad to have you back BT!!!!!!
HEY!!!
THIS IS GREAT NEWS!
I love it!! win/win
... and pick up that shortcoming with ODAF and help bring back wrestling (and add women's wrestling) to a metropolitan area that now lacks a program that provided hundreds of teachers and coaches to the local education community.

Blaine's brothers wrestled. BT was the only one who played basketball of them.
Get the Bud up to snuff, then get the school to right the wrong, and be progressive in adding an NCAA emerging sport, one that's the fastest growing in the country among college sports.

Always liked BT.
Love this news. Either he or Wilder in this role is awesome. I think BT is more genuine but that's just my take.

That’s a pretty fair assessment.
I disagree on how genuine Wilder is, but I'll leave it at that.

Im happy for Blaine to get back on his feet and in the area. (obviously he's been back on his feet for awhile). Having said that, I don't like having the popular former coach so close to the program. It just opens up a can of worms.

Hopefully it all works out.

Good for him. There might be some awkwardness but I say let the worms wiggle. I hope it all works out also. It would be interesting to see what his job description says.
Will be great seeing him around campus again!
Wonder if one of his charges is to build an NIL coalition

That is against the rules now, or it will be shortly.
Count me among fans who are happy and excited to see BT back. I'm willing to bet the love is mutual. Amongst all the successes and heartbreaks, he must've truly loved his time here at ODU as well.
Welcome back Blaine, can't wait to see you on campus whenever I visit.
Go Monarchs!

That is a can of worms that currently needs opening. I love it. And I love that ODU didn't prioritize "protecting" JJ by not hiring BT.

I don't think the collectives will be illegal. They will just be treated like boosters who can't contact a recruit until they have signed with a school.

This has nothing to do with protecting J.J. This is an issue for a harmonious relationship between basketball and fundraising.
