So depending where I look I see different remaining games for the Owls.

RiceOwls.com and ESPN show @ Marshall on 12/5 and home vs. UAB on 12/12.

The Chronicle shows @ Marshall on 12/5 and home vs. UTSA. I know there was some talk about UTSA instead of UAB, but hadn’t heard anything final on the topic.

Just curious as to which is accurate. Obviously no guarantee any of these scheduled games will be played. Not an easy road for the Owls in either scenario.
Conference web site shows UAB at Rice on the 12th. I would trust the conference and Rice sites over the Chronicle. UAB needs the games to qualify for the conference title game. In fact, they just added a game on Sunday at MTSU, which means they'll be operating on a short week for our game.
OK. I typically don’t give much credence to the Chronicle, but I had heard from other sources the possibility of switching out UAB for UTSA.

Still think the chances of playing one or both are low.
It bothers me that the athletics department is trying to get money when there is no athletics to be seen. I got a letter asking for my Owl Club renewal the same day that it was announced that the UTEP game would be without fans. It did not matter since the game was cancelled anyway. Today I get an email about the new scholarship fund for giving Tuesday. The men's sports have been so bad they might as well be hidden. Maybe I can stop caring even though I have been an Owl fan for 60 years.
Could we play the Bayou Bucket on December 19? The Chronicle has a story on UH’s scheduling woes and how unlikely it will be for the Cougars to play Tulsa that day because Tulsa will likely play in the AAC championship game. Rice-UH could be a meaningful game to add to the schedule.

I gave and will continue to do so. From my perspective, even though the current trajectory is beyond frustrating, the only chance we have to get Rice back to where we think it could/should be is to show enough alumni support that the university is willing to maintain or increase its commitment. Of course that doesn't mean that said same support should be made in quiet acquiescence to status quo.

Good idea. Especially if both teams aren't playing in a bowl game (which is likely).

La Tech just added a game with TCU on Dec. 12th.
