Something must be done to address the blatant bias in the system.

The first playoff poll came out and has aTm ranked 5th.

The Aggies started the season ranked 10th. Then in week 5 they get destroyed by Bama, not just lost but got destroyed.

This drops them to 21st in the weekly polls.

They come back the next week to beat Florida at home on a last second FG.

THIS IS THEIR ONLY WIN AGAINST A TEAM WITH A WINNING RECORD.

So by beating a bunch of teams with losing records they move from 21st in the weekly polls back into a position where they are ranked 5th in the playoff polls, jumping over several undefeated teams along the way.
Ideally there would be a system that included all conference champs. Second option which is also unlikely to happen would be to remove the human element from the primary decision making. I think there is still some remaining thinking, even if subconscious, that FBS needs to be unique compared to everything else. When in reality it creates the most biased system in sports for picking a champion.

This year the travesty is all the assumptions that are being made...Indiana and Northwestern must be good...Cant be Penn State and Michigan are bad.

All conference Champions...

Nah...

Alabama vs. the Nobody conference in the first round...Don't want that.

Expand it to 6 with 2 play in games.

.....yeah we sure don't want LiL ole MEMPHIS/UCF/CINN/ to have a shot at the national title-----just keep screwing the little guys--thats the ticket
Ridiculous... At the halftime show of the Memphis game, they just said SMU losing today will hurt Cincy’s playoff chances.
NCAA is liberalism at it's finest

One of the 6 would be the NY6 Group of 5 champion...If the Group of 5 champion is ranked in the top 2 they would get a bye 03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao

It does...

Sadly.

But if teams lose in one of the P5 conferences it shows how much parity there is in those conferences...AKA Northwestern being ranked 8th.

NCAA has literally no say in how FBS conducts its championships.

But thanks for trying.

How on earth is always allowing the strongest teams an opportunity to squeeze out the little guy liberalism.

Or is liberalism anything you disagree with.

I’m going with anything he disagrees with.

Even that is too logical to be accepted. I wouldn't be surprised if the G5s prefered that over the NY6 option.

Let me be technical for you. College football is liberalism. The teams that participate in the playoff are voted in. BCS +2. If Cincinnati goes undefeated then they need a fair opportunity to play not some council of elites pulling the strings behind the scenes. Sounds like liberal America to me. Anybody that thinks College football is fair is a moron. College basketball is more fair because everybody gets an opportunity even if they start the season 1-2.

C'mon man!

Nothing ridiculous about it. Lowers Cincy's SOS.

Heck, Urban Meyer, the liar, said today that Cincy is in a "horrible" or
'terrible" conference. It doesn't help that perception when the supposed 2nd strongest team in that conference loses to one of the bottom dwellers.

We can’t play the parity card?

It is the big boys keeping the little boys in their place.

That is just like everything else in America...Big boys control what laws get made and what rules get followed in order to benefit themselves...That is not liberalism
8 teams is perfect.
