Just wondering if any of my Aggie brethren are worried about this game. Arizona Christian has been playing for like a month already and are nationally ranked, granted in a lower division. IMO, this game is no gimme. Team is gonna have lots of rust thanks to New Mexico’s governor not letting our team practice until barely this last week.

Not a NMSU fan but I would only be worried about the lack of practice and rust. So far Arizona Christian opponents haven't gotten a win from what I can tell. They could pull off the upset, but I'd be shocked.
That’s funny that anyone would think NMSU hasn’t had some practice together. Just because it’s not official, doesn’t mean it hasn’t happened
Here is where NMSU will be playing this coming week. Arizona Christian has been playing games since late October. Hopefully, NMSU put in the agreement not to have any fans at the game. Like seen in the tweet below. NMSU players can't afford to catch Covid playing an NAIA school.

BTW, Arizona Christian's top scorer looks to be a pretty good athlete...

Yeah he looks good but every defender was too far back to do anything. Again, your biggest issue will be rust but you'll get the win. Yeah they've been playing since October but they'll have only played 5 games when they face y'all. Of those five, two combined wins for their opponents.

Never said they weren't. Difference in speed between practice and game would be my only concern. Still shouldn't be more than a tune up game for y'all.
That gym would be a problem for shooters as they shoot towards those windows. Odd choice for location to let natural light into the building.

I've played in a very similar gym and it doesn't cause as much as you might think. Disclaimer, I only played in HS.

It depends what direction those windows face. The game starts at 4:00PM and sunset is approximately at 5:20PM. If those windows face toward the west or the south, it could play a factor with shooting.

True, still wouldn't worry about it too much.

Interesting. I didn't know people from Washington were so lackadaisical about government rules. To each his own, I guess.

I've posted this on here many, many times as well as Aggie Alert. NMSU has been practicing for many months. They never stopped. They were just limited to drills with 5 players or less. They could not scrimmage or do drills with 6 or more players. I firmly believe they stuck to those rules. Can those restrictions hamper a team? Sure. Will it play any factor against an NAIA opponent? Not in the slightest.
Seattle U mbb and their wbb players have been doing pickup with others at a local warehouse in Redmond, WA since June... I don't think for one sec that NMSU players sat around and only did drills. On their own time I'm sure they were hooping with others just not under the NMSU banner.
