It would be nice to get some clarification..

Also from a Marshall vs Charlotte perspective, I hate this and it sucks. I know Marshall fans like to give Charlotte fans a hard time, and vice versa. But I've enjoyed the fun banter regardless.

I would like to click on this YouTube video, but I fear being Rick rolled...

I wonder what sorts of things marshal isn’t doing that Charlotte is. Marshal really needs to get a hold of their program. I really think they were afraid and didn’t want to take another loss to a Charlotte program that has had their number lately.

Evidently it was traced to the pristine creek.

You heard wrong.

Friday's Marshall-Charlotte football game has been canceled due to injuries and a lack of available Thundering Herd scholarship student-athletes at key positions. This shortage has been exacerbated by a small number of COVID-19 issues.

"Due to the developments this week, myself and our medical team felt that it was unsafe to put the team on the field Friday evening," said Marshall Director of Athletics Mike Hamrick. "I'd like to thank Charlotte AD Mike Hill and the 49ers' administration for their patience and understanding. I also want to thank the Conference USA office for its support and guidance as we worked through this process."

I did. Congrats FAU on the East title. **** you Charlotte!

Unless C-USA changes its rules again (entirely possible), Marshall wins the East. 4-1=5-1 in the Covid ravaged season that is 2020. Marshall holds the head to head tiebreaker.

Also, this is exactly why I cringed every time someone tried to call a team out for canceling/postponing. It was a matter of time before it ran through everyone. Marshall was fortunate enough to make it this far before having the issue.

Hopefully everyone recovers well. The mix of injuries and Covid/contact tracing can wipe out entire position groups in a hurry.

Actually, it would be the other way around. FAU would win the East based on a higher win percentage.

FAU @ 5-1 = 83%
Marshall @ 4-1 = 80%

I really hope I am wrong..

Actually, you are wrong, but all we can do is wait on C-USA to make the announcement.
CHARLOTTE IS EAST CHAMPIONS BECAUSE MARSHAL IS SKEEERT. MAKE SURE TO PLACE THE ASTERISK APPROPRIATELY.

Exactly, I saw some of the post and threads started by some Marshall fans and thought, what are you smoking? At least if you are going to trash talk make sure it is something that won't come back and bite you in the A$$!

Good. I saw the Grant Traylor tweet, I'm glad I'm wrong.

That is far too pristine to be Marshal* Campus
All jokes aside, Marshall actually does have one of the nicest campuses in the country.

It’s really bad form to see the factual information posted, then try to “correct” it with your own post that clearly doesn’t know what was going on.

Please, do not correct me unless I am incorrect.

Thanks
The information posted from Grant Traylor was only 20 minutes from when I posted, so why don't you chill out for a second. I was not attacking you, I was on my lunch break trying to figure all of this out as we were speaking.

Chill out, that was not an attack on you.

What the hell is wrong with this board, everyone is super sensitive?
information posted from Grant Traylor was not listed on CUSA's website, the only information we had were the tiebreaker rules they had set based off of win percentage, so I'm sorry if that offended you, that was not my intention.

In my world asking questions is part of the learning process, we're all trying to figure this out together.

Regardless, we need to stick together through this, because we're getting that onslaught from all sides, we don't need the pick each other apart.

You didn’t ask questions. You told me I was wrong when I wasn’t. It creates unnecessary confusion.

I see no reason to share information on a board where I’m corrected for doing so despite being correct. If my knowledge is so doubted, why bother?

Mind you, I’ve been wrong before and I will absolutely be wrong again. But I will admit that either I’m not sure initially or I will admit when I’m wrong. I will not tell someone else they are wrong when I’m unsure. That defeats the entire purpose.

Sometimes I’m a little ahead of the media on things. In this instance, I simply remembered this very discussion coming up when CUSA first made these tiebreakers that are special for 2020 public. Mind you, in typical CUSA fashion, there’s nothing easy and clear to find on the conference web site. That’s super annoying and I actually cast blame on them directly for not being clear and open. Not you. I simply remember this appeared somewhere a couple of weeks ago, about the time the schedule changes for 12/5 were announced. However, what frustrates me even more is that I couldn’t find the very story that confirmed this. I still can’t.

So basically I misplaced my frustration with C-USA and the inability to find corroborating evidence toward you. For that I apologize.

I think we’re all a little edgy at the moment because so much is uncertain.
Cool man, I wasn't trying to question your assertion, more questioning the process as I saw it. All I knew was they were putting emphasis on win percentage. Again I apologize as well.
