With Alabama at LSU and Texas A&M at Tennessee now both cancelled, CBS no longer has an available SEC game for its planned Saturday 6:00 spot.

CBS only owns the rights to two games available this weekend -

MTSU at #16 Marshall (50th anniversary of the crash)
Southern Miss at WKU

If CBS moves a game to the slot rather than counter-program, I think it's likely to be our game....

WOW! Fingers Crossed!!! Prime Time would be so cool!
I told everyone that the National Championship Trophy is definitely coming to Marshall this season!

I think Marshall fans should take pictures mooning the Fake National Championship Trophy.
I doubt the CBS national broadcast is going to happen now, it's already midday Thursday, they would have had to send out those trucks by now.

CBS sports at noon it is. If there is any movement on that, we would have heard it by now, as those TV trucks would have had to get here by Friday.
Can anyone confirm if MTSU is traveling today?

That would be our best sign that this game is a go.

Team is not chartering a flight and instead traveling by bus. A sign of the covid times to cut costs I suspect. Therefore, I would expect the team not to embark until today's tests for both sides are in. Just a hunch but zero dark thirty is probably their departure time tomorrow.

I say we dump it in your pristine creek. Should improve the scenery. Lol!

Marshall Hype For The 75 Game
Do we know if MTSU traveled to Huntington?

Figured you for a back door guy
We just need to take it one game at a time and the most important game is tomorrow. I hope our boys are focused and don’t get caught up in the emotion of the day. Go Herd!

Agree. MT has beaten us the last two years. They aren’t little sisters of the poor. They always play well against us and O’Hara had a career day last year against us. We have to start fast and play well. That’s hard to do early with all the emotion involved.
Of all the college teams I root for (other than MT); Marshall is at the head of the list. About 35 years ago, my son came home from high school FB practice and said he had a teammate who was a surviving son of a Marshall coach who perished. Naturally, I developed a keen interest in that kid and the tragic history surrounding the crash. Today, regardless of the outcome of this 10th matchup (2 games occurred back in our 1AA days) between the Herd and the Raiders; WE ARE ALL MARSHALL.

Thank you sir. Good wishes for a well played and injury free game . MT has our number of late.
Just finished watching the Memorial Fountain Ceremony. One of the best in recent memory and maybe the most emotional. The team wasn't there today because today is also game day. I'll say one thing, if they were watching, I wouldn't want to be MTSU today.

Pure class. Much appreciated and well done. +3
Just announced that Herd will have 14 players unavailable today against MTSU.

WR: Talik Keaton, Broc Thompson
OL: Cain Madden, James Magee
DB: Naquan Renalds, E.J. Jackson, Kerion Martin, Kentreaz Colston
DL: Sam Burton, Elijah Alston
QB: Eli Sammons
K: Daton Montiel
RB: Knowledge McDaniel
TE: Garet Morrell

RG Cain Madden and WR Talik Keaton are expected starters that are announced as out today (at least a surpise to me). WR Broc Thompson has been out since LaTech with a shin injury-was expecting to be out 4-6 weeks. The WR depth chart needs to continue to show up again today.

DE backup Sam Burton is out, but we get DE starter Koby Cumberlander back in the lineup today.
Injury? Or has the COVID bug bitten us too.
WE ARE.....
