With ODU canceling its season, there will always be an imbalance no matter what we do. However, as this year goes on, let's keep this thread going to update postponements as they happen. These postponements below are rescheduled as of November 4th. Only FIU vs UTEP remain cancelled.

*RIce @ Marshall
*UAB @ Rice
*FAU @ Southern Miss
*Southern Miss @ UTEP
*FIU @ Charlotte
*Marshall @ FIU
*UNT @ UTEP
**FIU vs UTEP

*RESCHEDULED
**CANCELED
Just sticking to conference games.

And as the year goes on, if we get more of them post them here and I'll try to add them as well. If I missed anything, let me know.
As of right now, USM's 2 dates for Dec 5/12 should be:

Dec 5th: FAU @ USM or USM @ UTEP
Dec 12: USM @ UTEP or FAU @ USM
Added UNT @ UTEP.

At some point, it's going to get real tricky fitting these games in even with 2 weeks.
You should highlight the team responsible for the postponement.

and then what?
So does anyone know for certain, who is going to be responsible for rescheduling these postponed games?

Do we know for sure if it is the schools, or the conference?
Neither this piece of **** conference nor its piece of **** Commissioner is going to do anything to help anyone not in Texas..
Rice @ Marshall
UAB @ Rice
FAU @ Southern Miss
Southern Miss @ UTEP
FIU @ Charlotte
Marshall @ FIU
UNT @ UTEP

The teams in bold are the programs responsible for their respective "postponements"

If the conference office expects the programs to complete the reschedule, their should be ground rules on timing to work in a rescheduled date.

Just one example of something that could expedite the process.

The home team should propose a rescheduled date. The opposing school should have a week to respond, I think that's generous.

If that program elects to allow that timeframe to bypass, they receive a forefit. How hard is that? Why are basic things so difficult to achieve in CUSA?
As of November 1, here are the number of conference games each team is currently scheduled for. If I am understanding the current rules, a team needs to average no less than one under the current divisional average.

East
Marshall - 5
FIU - 5

FAU - 6
Charlotte - 6
WKU - 7
MTSU - 8
AVERAGE = 6.17
*CURRENTLY INELIGIBLE

West
UAB - 6
Rice - 6
Southern Miss - 6
UTEP - 6
UNT - 7
La Tech - 8
UTSA - 8
AVERAGE = 6.71
The only source we have on the CUSA rule change was that Houston Chronicle article quoting the Rice AD.

However, that was a paywall article. i did see his comment, and they did change the parameters, as we've discussed in the "parameters" thread.

CUSA doesn't have the guts to actually carry through on that, do they? Would they actually prevent an undefeated Marshall from playing in the CUSA championship!?

I almost want to see that happen, so the chaos can ensue.
Judy will get it lined out
I,’for one, am excited for a 6-1 UAB vs. 2-5’WKU championship game.
I believe the average is always rounded down to the next whole number. 6.17 becomes 6. To be ineligible a team would have to play less than 5 games with that average, so no teams are on track to be ineligible.
I would not worry too much about the eligibility. At the end of the day "The Mouse" owns the rights to the game(ESPN) will step in and make us go. All they want is
viewership and having two sub-par teams wont cut it. If I were Hamrich I would go get the two best teams available to play. In or outside the Conference.

There is not one part of that post that's factual.

But since you are new I'm going to +3 you for being so wrong...

Is everyone else in the east ineligible?

So which part is not factual, idiot? The part where Disney owns ESPN. The part where they sit ideally by as "Karen" puts a team in the East who MU has beat? Thus, tanking the ratings.

Before calling someone an idiot you should look at your post and think about it.

1. espn does not own the rights to the CUSA Championship game. CBSSN owns those rights

2. espn or CBSSN has zero say in who will play in a conference championship game

3.Since 2013 (all I checked) the highest rated championship game and That includes the Marshall vs Rice game. Was Western vs Tech

4. Ratings for this game does not even move the meter enough to even matter

5. The viewership is usually at the bottom of the ratings for games on that day

6. If the conference does decide to go by the rules they set up before the season started. Marshall should not be worrying about another OOC game till they lock in the CUSA game. I personally think those rules will be changed.

But like espn on who's playing in the championship...what I think the conference will or will not do. Doesnt matter

As I said...from the first to the end nothing was factual. But it did make me laugh to see you defend that post with all you got. Even the idiot part. Anything else?
Wow, WKUYG gave you rep points, and you call him an idiot.
