Coming off two close road losses vs UAB and BYU, UTSA is back at home against Army. These two teams played last year in San Antonio with Army beating UTSA 31 - 13. After showing improvement so far this year, this is a chance for a statement win for the UTSA program. We'll see how far they've come. Birds Up.
It's quite lively in here. UTSA down 14 - 10 at the half. Army will get the ball to start the 2nd half.
UTSA is playing well today. I don't know if they will win, but they aren't embarrassing C-USA. Congratulations Runners. I think you might have hired a good coach.
what Army bases are in the San Antonio area?
Army 28-16 with the ball in the 4th Q.

Runners got down to the 3 and turned it over on downs.

Ft Sam Huston
28-16 is the final score.

Teams from Conference USA are currently 11-14 against OOC opponents this season, but that includes 7-0 against FCS and 4-14 against FBS.

And the 4-14 includes 0-3 against P5, 4-11 against all the rest.
That was frustrating. Maybe my expectations were too high. I thought we had a chance to pull out a win here. Army is a tough opponent. Mental mistakes, mainly penalties, and poor execution of our red zone offense cost us a chance at the game. Our starting QB Lowell Narcisse went down with a leg injury and was carted off the field. I feel terrible for him. Just a tough day all around.

Dang! Narcisse really looked good against UAB. I hate it for him.
Impressed by how UTSA's been competing this season. Bad news about Narcisse. Seemed like he was turning it on.

Hope the Runners can get back in the win column next week. Kick the crap out of La Tech.

Power to the Acronyms.
This was a very disappointing result. We apparently had 3 guys out on our O-line due to COVID issues, plus a few more in other positions, but we can't use that as an excuse. I don't believe we know what Army's situation was, nor do I believe we've known what the situations were for any of the other opponents we've played. Everyone's in the same boat and it's always next man up.

Am definitely frustrated by our continued injuries at QB though. Just as it appeared we've managed to unfurl our sails and pick up some knots, we've now got another setback with Narcisse whose injury didn't look good at all. Adkins (easily our best pocket passer) is still out indefinitely with his broken collar bone, and I still don't think Frank Harris is at 100%.
