Aug 27 we went through this same conversation. A wise man said he was fine. Private matter. All I can share.
Venmo me $10 and I'll tell you what others fear to speak.

What’s the skinny? The down low? The inside scoop? The skibnibbity? Don’t sugar coat it. What do the tea leaves say?

Let's go in order. Isaiah Stokes has not been practicing for at least the last month and has not been around the team much (if at all) during that time. When the Tigers took part in the UMADE unity walk about a month ago, all the players were present and accounted for, with the exception of Stokes. The reason (or, reasons) behind his absences to this point has not been disclosed and is unclear.

Isaiah Stokes
But, as recently as late last week, the expectation within the program is Stokes will return to the team soon and be available to play. As we know, Stokes sat last season out after transferring from Florida. In an Aug. 24 interview, Penny Hardaway was asked about what Stokes brings to the table.

“Isaiah has the best footwork out of anyone on this team,” he said. “He’s probably our best low-post presence. He likes to hit and we definitely need that inside physicality that he brings.”
haven't seen Stokes lately.

But if he still has the same build as he had at UF I don't see a path for him getting a great deal of playing time.
Just from a practical standpoint, I wish his scholarship could have been offered to someone else-someone who'd actually be with the team and able to contribute.
One local podcast (247) mentioned how Stokes was giving Wiseman a hard time in practice. They said he was being very physical with him and made him have to work. Wiseman of course got the better of him but it wasn’t easy.

I am sure in the post Stokes gave Wiseman great difficulty.

But as soon as they left the paint that is where the differences would be highlighted.

If Stokes hasn't dropped weight putting him in the pick in roll would definitely compromise our defensive strategy.

It was also said at the time that Lance Thomas was dominating Wiseman and Precious in practice. I bet that didn't last long.
Garcia/Simpkins Part II?

I just want what to know what Ike and the Street knows.
I guest no one has the inside scoop,
It has been kept very hush hush.
