If indeed Kamani does transfer, it is not hard to see why, even if there are no behind the scenes issues, which I hope not.

Ruot 32.5 minutes per game
Bankston 21.2
Maric 24.4

Of course, those minutes for Bankston and Maric were from year before last. But they still add up to 78 minutes per game for the 4 and 5 slots. And that does not even count Besovic and whatever minutes Toumi might get at the 4. You have to assume Ruot's minutes are not coming down much if he keeps playing at the same level. And I figure Maric will play at least that many.

I hate losing Johnson, though. He was far and away the best offensive rebounder that we had.
Kamani was a Warrior on the court and I will miss him but we are incredibly deep at that position so we will be ok.

At least I think it is a safe assumption that a guy who was a couple of ticks away from averaging a double/double last season is not going to see his minutes decrease.
Kamani going to the hill and be a Razorback per his twitter feed today
He'll probably get some playing time up there since they don't have as many big guys. Congratulations and best wishes to him!

Best wishes. Are you freaking kidding me? Beyond belief that one of our players would do this to us.

I agree, we have a player that doesn't want to be here then go. BUT, would you rather play in the SBC or the SEC.
It doesn't mean I'm not upset but I'm not going to wish ill will on a player just because they do something we don't like. He can do whatever he believes is good for him. Do I want him here? HECK YES and Arkansas is the last place I would want him but in the end it's still his decision.

And keep in mind, if you really are upset enough to put blame on someone for this decision, don't look at him, look at who was coaching...

However, we can get mad all we want but I'm only worried about just winning the SBC and getting to the NCAA tournament. Right now, our team still has good depth without him and Bankston has started before. We just have to move on (and keep an eye on Walker).
It might sound a little like sour grapes, but I do believe that Bankston has a little more upside. If he improves his rebounding and gets more aggressive offensively, he could be a dominant player down low. He has plenty of hops.

He needs to get a T-shirt that says, JUST DUNK IT!
I figure Dakari was in kamanis ear too.
Tweaky did make a good point that he didn't see why Johnson didn't go to St. John's, if he had the chance, which he evidently may have, since he is from Brooklyn.

Yes, I would have been fine with him going to St. Johns which is home. Also Georgia or Georgia Tech, since he finished his high school career in Atlanta. But, going to the pigs is spitting in our face. There are plenty of Power 5 school (if that is what he wanted) not in the State of Arkansas.

It also really concerns me, that after the NCAA passes the "one time transfer rule" (no sitting out) we will simply become a "feeder" program for the hogs as well as other Power 5 schools.

Those schools are trying hard to come up with the best of both world - have their cake and eat it, too. They want little guys around to beat up on when they need them, but they don't want them getting in the way of their empire building. "We love you as long as we beat you."
