Many of you no doubt remember Dan Dell, an alumnus, Bearcat athlete, professor at UC Clermont, and a leader and organizer of the Bearcat Faithful Luncheons that were held around Clifton or on campus for many years.
Dan's daughter sent me this email over the weekend about a UC scholarship fund established in his memory. I asked her permission to share it here on Banter for any others who knew of Dan and his dedication to our great University in order that we might support this effort.

On this homecoming weekend, we invite friends and colleagues of Dan Dell to join us in contributing to the Daniel R. Dell Forever Bearcat Scholarship fund. Our goal is to raise at least $50,000 to make this a permanent endowed scholarship in my dad’s name at UC.
My husband, Jamie Kite, and I have launched this campaign to recognize the unending devotion my dad had to Bearcat students and athletics. Dan loved non-traditional students most of all – first generation students and working parents. At Clermont he found his calling to teach and advise students who sometimes found many challenges in the complexities of college life. He was proud of every one of them who reached their goals. Dan’s devotion to helping students learn was not stopped even by death, as he donated his body to the UC College of Medicine. Dan was a UC athlete himself as a cross-country runner and was the most loyal of Bearcat fans. He also served as a longtime advisor for both the Sigma Sigma and Theta Chi fraternities. Dan arrived at UC as an 18-year-old freshman and never left – he truly was forever Bearcat!
This scholarship will support students transferring from Clermont College to the College of Education, Criminal Justice and Human Services at UC. Transfer students have few opportunities for scholarships and we wanted to support students who need it the most.
