Quote:The Michigan secretary of state misprinted the Trump line on ballots intended to be mailed to troops serving overseas, the Detroit News reported.

Jocelyn Benson, who has endorsed President Trump’s rival, Joe Biden, and spoke at the recent Democratic National Convention (DNC), made the apparent error. The ballot listed Jeremy Cohen as Trump’s running mate. Cohen is running for vice president on the libertarian ticket with Jo Jorgensen.

The name of the incumbent vice president, Mike Pence, was omitted altogether. Jorgensen’s line lacked a running mate, thus creating three errors on the ballot.

Over 400 incorrect ballots were downloaded from the secretary’s website by local clerks to be sent to voters. It is not clear how many were actually mailed.

The ballots were “meant to be mailed or emailed to Michigan residents living abroad under the Military and Overseas Empowerment (MOVE) Act,” the paper reported.

“Replacement” ballots will be issued to those who may have been mailed incorrect ones, according to the secretary of state’s office.

“If a voter does happen to return the incorrect ballot instead of the correct ballot, it will still count,” Benson spokeswoman Tracy Wimmer said.

“The clerk will be instructed to duplicate a vote for Trump onto a ballot for Trump/Pence.”

The secretary of state has endorsed Biden for president.

During the DNC, Benson pushed voting by mail.

“And let’s be clear: there is absolutely zero difference between voting by mail and voting absentee. Millions of Americans have been voting absentee for decades. Donald Trump, his family, his staff — they all vote by mail. In fact, in states like Colorado, Utah, and Oregon voters have been voting by mail for years. Republicans and Democrats agree: it is safe,” she said, according to ABC News.

In 2018, Biden endorsed Benson to be secretary of state.

“Jocelyn is a leader who will make Michigan proud and that is why I am supporting her,” he said.

As incompetent as Democrats are, it is believable that it is a mistake.
Just a presidential election ballot, no reason to proofread.
Purposely done so the ballots can be thrown out

Right, I'm sure the SOS personally prints off the ballots and checks them.

But regardless, we no longer are required to apply any responsibility to our political leaders. Thanks trump!

LOL. You can't bring yourself to fault the SOS sending out incorrect ballots, a specific responsibility of the office, yet for months have criticized the president about his response to a damn virus. And you have the audacity to lecture others about hypocrisy. Then you fault Trump because you can't hold the SOS responsible? As if democrats ever hold their own responsible.
The push to vote by mail is such a laughable joke. Let's make our elections LESS RELIABLE and LESS SECURE FROM FRAUD. It's so fvcking transparent.

No, the office totally screwed up...and they have a plan in place to correct it. Mistakes happen. The nonsense here is trying to claim this easily detectable mistake was intentional to somehow hurt trump. It's laughable at best.

I suppose you have some evidence that mail-in voting is less reliable or less secure?

Thought so.

Nope. Burden of proof is on you to show us that this new scheme championed by the Dems is equally or more secure than having to go to a polling station where you have to 1) present a valid idea and 2) cross check your signature that you sign in front of the worker who cross references the signature for you on file. Common sense already tells us the mail in vote procedure is less secure just based on the lack of oversight that I provided above.

Perhaps you should actually do some research to see how states actually process mail-in votes? Might help you look less foolish.

So whomever typed up the ballot didn't know Trump/Pence was a thing and didn't bother to check to see why there was no VP on the Libertarian line? OJ juror candidate right there.

It’s a Democrat controlled state. S hitholes like Detroit and Dearborn make it impossible for the state to be lead by good qualified Conservative leaders. The Leftists in those cities dictate what kind of leadership the entire state gets. They vote regularly for the Democrats so they keep getting free stuff.

The SOS wasn’t concerned because they know any ballot for a Republican candidate will be uncounted and destroyed.

You know very well that political leaders disregarding responsibility is nothing new and dates back decades, if not longer.

However, if you're not aware of this you have to look no further than this:

Leaked 2016 Call Reveals Joe Biden Risked National Security To Sabotage Trump

Quote:In a matter of moments, Biden undermined the incoming administration, branded them as not knowing anything about Ukraine, and attempted to set up a foreign policy backchannel for himself after he left office as a private citizen, which could violate the Logan Act.

Nope. Prove that mail in voting is just as or more secure than voting in person. That's proving a positive. Null hypothesis is that we vote in person as a rule. The proposal is to have us vote by mail as a rule - which is a deviation from what we have traditionally done. Therefore, you need to demonstrate that the new proposal is as good or better than what we traditionally do.
