Correct. Was JJ Russell‘S backup but has played a ton of snaps. Was still a large contributor. Could very well be taking advantage of NCAA’s eligibility clause for this season. With all the graduations of LB depth, he would 100% start next year, as this was his last year of eligibility. His twitter page implies he’d want to return for a 6th year.

Well that’s good news

I believe the NCAA rulings are he could have the extra year whether he plays this year or not. His plans for next year have nothing to do with sitting out.
