I get that the AAC is a better conference than ours, but we're not talking P5/G5 here, even if they do wanna call themselves the P6. Point is, there really isn't that big a difference between SMU's defense and UTSA's, at least not last year.
SMU had a very good offense last year and they were able to clobber some teams with that. But their defense is horrifically bad and their 3 losses last year show that.
The good news is that CUSA has yet to take their annual L to an FCS squad. I haven't looked at the schedule to see if there are anymore games against FCS teams, but we may have finally broken the streak.

UTSA opens our home schedule against SFA this weekend, so there's definitely at least one more FCS game. UTEP beat them 24-14 in week one, so I'll be worried if we don't win that one convincingly.

UTEP will likely beat ACU. ACU lost a lot of experience from their 2019 team.
