Don't punish us for UM's irresponsibility
Tulsa fielded a team of ill players back in the 60's and we got our butts kicked by nearly triple digits. The least Memphis can do is trot a team out on the field... it's only fair.

Don't worry, we'll beat them 101-6

You're an integral part of the team and I wish you the best of luck.
It is only fair

i completely agree..ive already read about rescheduling 3 different games involving different universities because of their inability to follow rules. this is stupid. these guys possibly ruined their whole season to do something or go somewhere just to party over ark state.

Why just give them a free pass?

They are adults, all over 18. None are "kids". A lot of guys their age are in the military. They don't get free passes for being "young people".

They were drilled on this stuff. They know better. They have the info.

Sure, everyone does dumb stuff at that age, but they need to learn responsibility and accountability.
did houston field a team last year ?

I agree with all your points, but what is the threshold? How many players in quarantine does it take before a game should be postponed? And what if they’re all on one side of the ball or the other?

The Big 12 has an excellent plan covering those details. I think AAC (and NCAA) should adopt it.

In order to account for student-athletes who will have to miss games because of positive coronavirus tests, contact tracing and regular injuries, the Big 12 determined on Friday that teams with at least 53 players available -- including seven offensive linemen, four interior defensive linemen and one quarterback -- must play or it will be considered a forfeit.

Just FYI, first term enlistees have discipline issues like everyone else their age.

I assume the enlistees still face consequences for their infractions.

IMO, if Memphis can't field a team for Friday's game, they should forfeit. To me it's no different than a team with a ton of injuries. Gotta go with whatever you got left.

Yes. You got to beat up our 3rd string last year, seems only fair that we should get to play yours this year.

didn't the ECU kids go to a big party to celebrate nothing at all and ended up the same?

the 18-21 crowd tend to make bad life choices.

They always call them kids when the eff up but otherwise they demand to be treated as men of wisdom.

Memphis promoted a position coach that went to Hampden-Sydney. Hes a puss that panders. The team loves him.
