Has anyone heard what the attendance will be for this season?

Probably 3. Maybe 4.
Overall probably not much different than any other season.

Announced attendance will be somewhat lower for most schools but actual butts in seats probably won't be much different.....kinda like USM's last home game last year when attendance was announced at 20,369 but any one who was there very well knows that it couldn't have been much more than 10k-12k tops. Our 25% capacity this year will put attendance somewhere around the 9k mark.
Yesterday our AD reported that they’ve sold four thousand tickets to the home opener.
I'm really hoping UAB get's 20k-25k at least once this season. I think a socially distanced Legion Field, with that size crowd, will be an interesting spectacle, and I'd very much like to see it.

I think ODU is the only school to report...0.
I personally know of a couple of diehard USM families that didn't renew their season tickets for this season. They aren't scared of the virus, but think everything will be a shatshow this season and liked the tailgating experience as much as the actual game.

We'll still have higher ticket sales than FAU

We'll all have better attendance than ODU this year, if we can all get one home game under our belts!

ZING! Selling tickets for no football at ODU is more compelling than selling tickets with football at ODU.

Oho!

FAU Football has been practicing social distancing in their stands since 2001. I'm sure you guys won't miss a beat.
Mike Hill says that while we won’t have fans at the 9/26 games, he hopes to get some people into the last three games, the first of which is FIU on 10/17.

I would imagine if we are able to attend games, he will try to get a home game on our 11/14 open date.

Yep...but we will play the game. Instead of hiding in our closets.
MTSU has been advertising their 2020 football ticket packages a lot here in the Nashville market the last couple of weeks. (e.g., WTN radio) I thought that was very weird given the COVID environment and likely 20% to 50% capacity restraints. Why the need to advertise?
They took the tarps off the endzones at 75k-seat Legion Field to accommodate social distancing so even a 30k game is going to look bad for us. And we all know there are going to be people uncomfortable with going to a crowded sporting event (whether you agree or not). So the games are just going to look terrible. Even Bama is only going to have 30k in their 110k cathedral.

I could see Western bringing 3,000 or more fans if visitor tickets are sold. Especially if game time allows for a down and back in the same day without a really late return. But I doubt if any school allows visiting fans other than "school officials" and that would include players families.
clt says many Charlotte fans donated season ticket and parking pass fees back to the program. This could be interesting when/if we have home games later in the season.
