With the B10 and Pac12 out of the picture (literally) this season, there must be gaping holes in the prime time national telecast schedules. Any thoughts on a ranked Cincinnati landing Saturday night featured games? Anyone think there will be socially distanced "Game Day" telecasts from campuses?

If the plug isn't pulled on this regular season, which I still believe is a possibility, the opportunity for national exposure for Bearcat football may be unprecedented.
I'm just hoping somebody picks up all the games. I wouldn't think Austin Peay would be on, but in this climate who knows. If their conference opener is on, anything is possible. I'd be surprised if Army isn't picked up. Tv definitely likes the service academies, and Cincy is a fairly easy destination for crews, etc. in this travel challenged time.
If there is college football playing, it will be on TV. I would hope there is nothing to worry about with TV. I can't see how they wouldn't be on TV....
Unfortunate we can't have a packed Nipp when we get this exposure. There's nothing like the Nipp at Night...maybe a Halloween night game. That's a sweet environment!
Am I crazy, or was every game on normal TV last year outside of the Marshall trash broadcast on FB? I don't think anything will be different this year or those moving forward as long as we've got Fickell at the helm.

This year was Nipp at Night on Halloween against Memphis. :(
The Big-10 network won't have any games to broadcast. Do you think they'll want to show the 'Cats? Just asking.

Nope. They'd have to pay for the rights to our games not to mention there is no other conference on their network than the Big10 (consistent with all conference networks). They'll probably just show Big10 rewind games that they already own.

Or maybe campus chess tournaments from Northwestern? It's a really interesting question since the B10 shut down all fall sports as I recall. That creates thousands of hours over the next several months of unused broadcast inventory. Of course some B10 fans may be just as happy watching IU vs. Illinois from 1992 on replay.

One has to wonder what wheels are turning with Aresco and the conference right now to secure some prime time coverage on the ESPN networks. The "worldwide leader" should see a great ROI on their new contract with the American if that's the case.

Do you ever get bored and watch the MAC Weds, Thurs night football games on ESPN? Right before the game starts, someone wrangles the fans together into one area of the stadium that makes it look like there are a lot of fans in the stadium. After that, the cameras shoot up to the stadium at a low angle, and the only thing we viewers see are five drunk, fat, shirtless fans (probably paid) standing in the front row, and spelling in red paint: M - A - I - M - I.
Nobody goes to MAC football or basketball home games. Ask Coach Bob
Huggins about the quiet arenas of the MAC. He coached Akron right before the Bearcats, and the MiamiOH gym was over half empty except when his Bearcats showed up. He wisely ended the Miami series.

At least the UC Marshall game on FB was honest. In the third quarter the viewer could see that a lot of fans were leaving or had left the game trying to beat Huntington traffic. In the fourth quarter the Marshall stadium was almost empty. Near the end I only saw a few students who looked like they were undecided on what party to go to. The halftime feature on Chris Ferguson was outstanding. No commercials and no TV timeouts. The announcers were busy but did a good job.

On the other hand...
I could not stand the tOSU game broadcast. The announcers from BTN were Buckeye homers. Brian Wright made a good tackle and an announcer said "tackle by ................ number 11."
I know there were two 11's on the Bearcats roster, Lenny Taylor and
Brian Wright. But Taylor is a TE and Wright lines up all over the place on defense and was the Bearcats leading returning sacker.

The only thing worse than the B10 announcers was the B10 officiating.

Go Bearcats, beat MAIMI.
nothing to worry about, gentlemen.

I attended the Marshall game and sat in the south end zone for the first half. By the end of the halftime break, the stadium lost about 33% of the fans. My son and I moved to some seats on the 50 yd line about 20 rows up and had a decent time with some Herd fans. By the end of the 3rd quarter, the stadium looked like GABP for a weeknight game.
Ten University of Central Florida football players, including two projected starters, are opting out for the 2020 season because of concerns around the coronavirus pandemic, coach Josh Heupel said Tuesday.

Yep. But I won't celebrate too soon as we may be one press release away from a similar announcement in wild and wacky 2020.
