Any word on local tv picking up games not carried on a network?

with two of the five p5s sitting out, there's a great chance that every Memphis game along with most every AAC game be on national TV if not national OTA. 04-cheers

Nice COGS
This is a good thread. I'd like to see all tiger games televise and 3-7 local highschools televised too. I don't need a broadcast team either. Put the two opposing team QB dad's in the booth. Afterwards we can televise the fight in the parking lot.

Seems we should get some air time.
Do we know anything about game time or TV for Arkansas State game ??
With the game now just 2 weeks away, any word leaking out about tv/streaming options for opener vs ASU.
I agree most conference games should land on TV.
Not so sure about other 2.....but hopefully.

I guess we think alike.
Well, it’s still TBA on the official site. Hopefully they tell us before game day. Sure would like to get my digital tickets however that is going to work.
You guys are all assuming the networks WANT college football to air. I have a feeling there may be some forces still working against it.
Tammy DeGroff told me on Twitter yesterday That all home games no matter what are broadcasted on AACs ESPN Deal. They just don’t know specifics yet

Yes, they want it.

In a normal season, our TV and game time would be announced today.
Claw,
Do u think they want to continue to show repeats of volleyball and football games from 10 yrs ago
Ike can't wait to watch more repeats
Word on the street,
IKE's sources tell him, the Tigers will be on t.v.quite a few times

Why on earth would anyone be working against it? Makes no sense.

A lot of the talking heads I've seen on ESPN are SERIOUSLY ANGRY that the SEC, ACC, and Big12 would dare to have a season. I'm not sure if they are just angry Big Ten and Pac12 fans, or if there is something else going on.

We know that the Big Ten and Pac12 DO NOT want the other teams to play for a championship without them, so they're incentivized to try and stop it.
Yeah, those talking heads have been telling us for 5 months how insignificant sports are. All the while collecting paychecks talking about sports. It's bizarro. Maybe they will convince some of us and the pie that they cut will continue to shrink. And then, maybe, they will also feel the axe.

Nonetheless, the powers in those places absolutely want the games to be played. They need the money.

And, yeah, isn't this the start of the new ESPN contract that will carry all Tigers games - even if just on ESPN+? And not just football, but most sports? Of course it's odd times and sports are being cancelled. But this should be the year we can tune in to watch baseball, softball, soccer, etc.

With the lack of other programming, and the lack of other conferences, and the new deal - we should expect to see all Tigers games on tv.
Wolf,
They r angry big. Fans, listen to Desmond Howard and Jalen rose
They should let the teams play that want too.

My guess is that they are far left politically. When a group of people become almost giddy about a pandemic, because it will "change things forever" and creates a "new normal", you come to realize that nothing (for them) is more important what winning, politically.
