The AAC needs to make a statement to future recruits. If you want to sit out and save yourself for the NFL draft, you should sign with a P5. If you want to play football, sign with an AAC school.

Memphis and the ACC most likely will not announce until the ticket deadline has passed here. They need the donations

It's unfortunate but in todays reality of P5 vs everyone else this is what is going on.

Same path on basketball will be taken. The simply need people to sign over their tickets as donations etc.

I do think it's a unique situation and things could get fluid. If ESPN offers the AAC big money to play this year because it's only going to be the SEC and the AAC - that solves everything as long as players would sign waivers to remove any liability.
