Kudos to the MAC for leading the way for the FBS in postponing fall sports. Word is now the Big Ten and other FBS conferences will follow suit this week.

This will make a potential spring football season much easier to plan and coordinate in terms of scheduling, eligibility, the NFL Draft, etc.

Agree that the P5s and other G5s will follow. I'm not so sure about a spring football season though. I see them just waiting until fall of 2021 to start up football again (hopefully).
I know CMU rarely allows access to the players but I'm curious what they are thinking with the cancellation of the Fall football season. I'm sure they're disappointed and full of questions about eligibility and how the NFL draft would go. I'm guessing they'll also feel a little better when other conferences officially cancel.

Could the slow down in recruiting be a calculated play by McElwain to get younger recruits for the next class or a different crop of portal and grad transfer players?
Hopefully, CMU can now play its scheduled games against Nebraska and Northwestern this spring.

Big 10 and PAC 12 are done for the fall season.
Yes, the Big Ten and Pac-12 were whens, not ifs. Now, let's see what the Big 12, ACC and SEC do.

Tony Casillas Tweeted an hour ago that Oklahoma players have been sent home from campus and the feeling is the Big XII will announce it's postponing football until the spring.

FIRE UP CHIPS! :)
