BREAKING from @dennisdoddcbs: Power Five ADs: 'Inevitable' 2020 college football season will not be played this fall.

I don’t know how to post the link but it’s on CBSSports.com

Moving the season is the right thing to do. Otherwise this is looking more and more like the NBA and China --- all about money.
I'm guessing this is the link.

This has gotten so far outta hand! 20 year old football players are at such a greater risk simply playing the game of football. If you can imagine it today it's coming. Data, logic, and reasoning need not apply
Is this the domino-watch thread...?

Just posting an article boss. I have already opted in for next year. And I’ll be there if they’ll let me. But there does some to be some momentum on postponing Fall college football

How will these 20 yr old be at such greater risk playing football. Do you really think 20 yr olds are not otherwise going to socialize closely?

TigerBradley Md has staked his medical reputation on his opinion that Covid-19 has no long term effects. So he obviously docen't care if any of his children contract the virus, because only a few hundred children have died from it.
I think this has been the plan all along.

The announcement of going to conference-only games served a purpose. It gave all the conference members a reason to break their out-of-conference game contracts. It was done first to let the AD's get the contractual messes cleaned up and to be sure the schools were able to do this with legal and financial impunity.

It was also done first just in case the conference games could be saved, but that was a hope and a prayer from the beginning.

The terms for breaking the conference games will be hashed out in conference meetings. That part is easy and probably already determined just waiting to be announced.

It's over for this fall.

Quote: A new report from Sports Illustrated indicates that bad news is coming for college football. According to Pat Forde and Ross Dellenger, a series of high-level meetings among the Power 5 conferences this week will likely result in postponing fall sports until 2021.

Amen brother!
We had 5 months to do the right thing and get this under control to the point that we could have college sports. And honestly, we could still have college sports if the university administrators would get rid of the facade that college athletes were "amateurs". Instead, we decided that wearing mask was a political statement and that college athletes that create billions in revenue every year should stay amateurs.

I guess we've all shown our priorities.

They do have a choice.

You are right...You always have a choice.

Mask mandate and you don't want to wear a mask...Move.

That is a choice.

Yep, one guy, the orange gibbon who chose to throw out the pandemic playbook, get rid of the ready team and politicize precaution while promoting ridiculous 'cures'. Slate's article perfectly sums up what the intelligent of us already knew: https://slate.com/news-and-politics/2020...ml?via=rss

I dont want to make this political. We all have personal responsibility in this. The president or the governor, or the dog catcher isn't responsible for our own personal conduct.

We are responsible for our own conduct and WE are responsible for the mess that we are in.
