Utah State football pushes back its fall camp start date to Aug. 24. The Aggies will start the season at BYU on Oct. 2.

This means Utah state has dropped their FCS game vs. Southern Utah that was scheduled for 9/12.
Kind of a bait and switch here .... subject implies a full schedule posting.

They are trickling it out and the thread was to hold the updates as they come--but I'll update it if it helps.
Big 10 is announced. ACC has announced other than Clemson and UNC. SEC and Pac 12 are all conference games.

Everybody else will fall in place pretty quick once the Big 12 makes its announcement.

Hmm AAC membership seems like a great idea right about now 07-coffee3
This may be only rearranging deck chairs, but the move makes sense for both Navy and BYU. I would not be surprised if Army also reaches out to BYU.

No shock on USU dropping FCS Southern Utah. Not many FCS games are left on any FBS schedules. You can reasonably presume North Alabama will not be playing BYU this year.

Side note: Notre Dame opting out of Navy effectively removes the last vestige of the ACC 10 + 1, it's now just 10 like the SEC, B1G and P12. One wonders if the B12 will still have a +1 to their 9. (Looking over the B12 schedules only 3 games look plausible: UTEP at Texas, Louisiana Tech at Baylor, Tulsa at Oklahoma State).

True--I could see North Alabama drop and be replaced with a local like Southern Utah, Weber State, or even Idaho State as possibilities if they have their seasons.

UCF and GT are still playing.

Assuming the 4 bowls making the cut would be the Rose, Sugar, Orange and Cotton, then they could play 2 games on New Years day and 2 games on the Saturday before or after New Years.

Who plays where can be determined by the playoff committee, with strong preference given to the top seeds getting the first choice. The Rose Bowl no longer goes to the Big Ten & PAC champions, but instead goes to the highest seeded team that wants the Rose Bowl.

If the Rose Bowl does not like that idea, it could choose to bow out as a playoff host and become a secondary bowl that hosts the Big Ten and PAC runner-ups. I am sure the Fiesta Bowl would gladly take their spot as a playoff bowl.

sorry, my phone is acting funny. I was trying to post on another thread.
BYU took ND's place against Navy, same date/place.

Glad to see both schools were able to work something out.

ND is still playing a +1 game against Western Michigan at home.

ND and Navy just extended their annual series (after this year) through 2032.

UCF and GT are still playing.

Don't count it. Most likely it's just not yet announced cancelled.

Well, the UCF vs GT game WAS officially confirmed today by the ACC. Of course, like all games, it may end up not being played, if circumstances change, but as of now, it is as "on" a game as any other on their schedules.
Moderator note: FCS discussion was split off into a separate thread and re-titled.
Navy's coach was offered the BYU job about three years ago, but he turned it down. That is when they hired their current coach from Oregon St, if I remember correctly.
I know the BYU & Liberty ADs have been in discussions. We both have our Oct 31st bye weeks in place. If both schools lose a game early on that would be easy to schedule.

Congrats on the Navy game in prime time on the ESPN flagship.
I’m pumped for the Navy-BYU game. Should be a great one!
Mike Aresco confirmed on BYU Sports Nation today that Houston will not need to move their BYU game due to anything from the conference--although the two schools might choose to move things around. Marking this game confirmed. Still pending word on Boise State, Northern Illinois, and North Alabama games.
